  • Recent US Navy commercial?

I saw a commercial for the US Navy the other day, and while I typically ignore what's being said (Guvmint propaganda blah blah), this one caught my ear.

It was showing various sailors in their various Naval environments while reciting the oath of service, and the one chick said "..to defend the United States and its leaders..."

Did I hear that right, or was I snoozing through it?

I looked online for the video, but you know how interweb searches go these days.

If I did hear it correctly, 2016 will not happen. We're *this* close to being officially declared a dictatorship.

Get them guns ready, you'll need them.
I want to depart this world the same way I arrived; screaming and covered in someone else's blood

The most human thing we can do is comfort the afflicted and afflict the comfortable.

Just like all good girls say.

"We wish to engage you as ship's cook and concubine"
"Oh yeah? What's a concubine then?"
"Hmm, it's a small, spikey mammal..."
            "No, that's a hedgehog"
"Oh, in that case, we wish to engage you as ship's cook and hedgehog"

You probably misheard... this is the oath:

"I, _____, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God." (Title 10, US Code; Act of 5 May 1960 replacing the wording first adopted in 1789, with amendment effective 5 October 1962).
