I figured if I didn't like it, I could easily break even and flip it. That's NOT gonna happen. After toying with it for a few hours I couldn't imagine getting rid of it.

Of course, due to the design, you can't treat it like a normal shotty... which is why I think some people think they're garbage. I can understand that opinion, but having a decent bit of experience with combat shotguns, 590, 37, 1200, 11-87, 870, M3, 1201FP3, vang comp/wilson frankenmutts, etc... I just love the size profile and capacity. Yeah, it'll probably take several hundred rounds before I'm comfortable with it, but build quality and feel is comparable to a 590 synthetic, in my opinion...

It's incredibly small... and with the Button Sling, the weight and balance of the shotgun free-hanging is absolute perfection.

Having personally gone from an M1 to a 590, I'd say the Moss is a solid choice, too. I only use it for bird hunting these days, but I can shoot slugs out to 125m pretty damn easily so I could imagine deer/bear hunting being a possibility, too.

Semi's are fun, for sure. Enjoy the new KSG, bro. I haven't gotten to shoot one (or even fingerfuck one in person), so I have no idea about their performance.

Ha, no it was a pk380. I used to like trying out different carry pieces, I didn't bond with this one. I tried the p99 after that, I've heard folks say they like the p2000. BUT I've found for my edc I like the xdm 9.

I'm kind of a gun snob... being Infantry as well as working in the gun industry for over a decade, I've owned a lot of nice guns and quite frankly, the KSG is one of my all-time favorites. I haven't shot it yet, will zero it in this weekend, but overall this little machine is pretty sick and slick. I have a bunch of good ammo, Federal LE 133 Flight Control 00 buck, Federal XM127 00 buck, Winchester Ranger Segmented Slugs, and I have some Aguila 1.75" slugs and 00 to try out. I'll post a range report after I zero it...

Yeah, I think the 590 is a great choice. Fit and finish isn't really their selling point, durability and cost are. That being said, I wouldn't have a second though fielding one. I would have a second thought about fielding the KSG without training, just because it's so different you need to relearn habits. Build quality reminds me of a 590 Synthetic, which I'm completely good with. The selling points to me were, highest capacity is 23 rounds of Aguila slugs or buck. And the fact that DiFi wants to specifically ban this thing made me want one in California while I still have the choice.
