  • Script logjamming the forum?

There's a script of some sort that keeps freezing pages for me here, mostly in my JCM800 thread in Amps & Effects. It takes like 3 minutes for it to load the page, after which I get a message saying "a script on the page is causing I.E. to run slowly, do you want to continue running the script Yes/No"

I did notice the last thing to load is the Like button at the top - is it tied to that? Maybe Facebook's cookie shit that's tied into it? Whatever it is, it's fucking up my online experience.
By the time it loads and I type a reply, it says "the token has expired, please reload the page", and it starts all over.

Yeah, something's a little weird for me, too. Send a message to ~K~ and see if she can get Jeremy to do something. The board is two versions behind on an upgrade anyway, but Jeremy hasn't been on in awhile. I even talked to Pat about it, but apparently only Jeremy can fix it.

Works fine on my Vista I.E. 9 laptop. My XP desktop won't take 9.

Thought maybe someone in that thread had a direct-linked pic for their avatar and the site it's on was spamming cookies. Had that happen in the past.

                Here's the error message:

                [IMG]http://newcenstein.com/JCF/fbook-script.jpg[/IMG]

and here's the script shown in the status bar as soon as I click "Yes"

[edit] and can someone fix the mother fucking IMG tag? I type in the fucking tag correctly and I get this shit instead. What in the fuck! Yes I know there's a fucking insert image button. It generates the same fucking tag so why doesn't typing it in fucking work?

Who has their avatar hosted locally?
                    I do.
Is it doing the same in the threads where a certain user posts?

I don't know what you're talking about either.
