maybe the rangers could play the rest of their games outdoors this season. and against the devils and islanders, that could vault them up the ladder possibly.

the rangers quietly with 31 wins. this stupid Olympic break could not come at a worse time. well, let's see how they fare against Edmonton and the much hated pens two nights in a row this week before said break ensues.

Henrik is playing with torn rib cartiledge after ending his games played streak at just under 700 games. Daniel hasn't been the same since Duncan Keith concussed him with that elbow 2 years ago. He's been .4 ppg since when he was something like 1.2 ppg before. They might not be terrors out there, but they aren't whips either.

Sedin's contracts were extended recently weren't they? Something like 7 mil cap hit for 3-4 more years. 14 mil is a ton of cash for little production.

Yup, they do look bad, but they aren't coasting because of a new deal. I'm worried Dan may be done after the concussion. Some guys are just never the same after it happens. He has no attack in his game anymore. You can see when he gets the puck, his first, second, and third options are "look for a pass". You don't want your team's top sniper with that attitude.

Hank's bad production comes down to busted finger (can't take face offs) and busted ribs. You can see him shy away from any contact even if it's just implied from 50 feet away. Truth be told he probably shouldn't be in the lineup and shouldn't be going to Sochi, but he's a play through it kind of guy. Sometimes you are better off as an organization to force a guy to sit, but the Canuck's are gun shy on that front after the Malhotra situation.

Yeah, the had a nice forecheck going and created some turnovers...I was worried. Then it was almost like they gave up after Crosby split the D and scored early in the 2nd...they just looked flat after that.
