LOL, the City of Detroit may be bankrupt but Mike Illitch isn't, Red Wings and Tigers make money as does Little Caesar's Pizza. The Wings still will build a new arena to replace the old Joe which opened up in 79 or 80.

December 12th 1979 to be exact. I have a major Problem though because I was born and raised in Pittsburgh and I love the Penguins but I still love the Red Wings too. Aside from M.Lemieux and R. Francis, Yzerman and Konstantinov were my two favorite players of all time.

Yup....watched the Bruins beat Montreal Diving Team....Iginla looked good w/Krejci & Lucic!!

I watched that game last night, and yes the Iginla line looked strong. That will be one hell of a line this season.

I didn't get to see the Pens against the Wings last night, but by the score sheet it didn't look good. The Pens and Blue Jackets game the other night was fun to watch. Kobasew was doing his damndest to convince the Pens to keep him around. Root Sports Pittsburgh is going to televise the Pens and Blackhawks game Thursday night. I'll be watching it. Go Pens!

I know it's fucked up and I can't even begin to explain it. I have always been that way though. It may have something to do with my uncle. He lives in Detroit and he always brought me Red Wings gear as a child to piss my dad (His older brother) off really bad. My dad would yell at my mom "Don't dress him in those clothes!" But my mom just ignored him because my Uncle always bought me really nice warm ups and real jerseys. To counter that my Dad always bought me really nice Pens gear so I am not complaining. I have a whole bunch of nice NHL gear that I got for free and this is why I am a fan of both teams. Don't get me wrong when the Pens play the wings I root for the Pens all the way but I still like a lot of the old school wings players.

that's cool, I had a soft spot for the Lakers when I was a kid, my 3rd grade picture I have a laker jersey on, jerry west #44, and 4th grade I had a #4 bobby orr jersey on, although I did not have a soft spot for the bruins, but I did love bobby orr.

I don't watch preseason anything unless there is absolutely nothing on TV I did look through the box score of the the Wings first game and 1/2 the players will not be in the NHL this season or any time soon. NHL preseason hockey is glorified tryout/scrimmage

o.k. now we're really in motion. best time of the year for me even if the rangers first home game is the day after easter.rangers looked dog terrible fri. night against the kings, or the kings looked awfully good, probably both.
