Maybe... but the pens fans as a whole can't actually help it. For that I apologize. But you can't help it. You've been listening to Maria and Syndey cry and whine for how long now? Call me a douche. Ouch. But when was the last time a career was ended by a Bruins cheap shot? Exactly. However, it's a culture down there. We can take out your best player, but don't you dare touch our superstar.

People are seriously still whining about Ulf's hits on Cam Neely up there? Damn man I hope I never do anything to someone from Boston. You guys have a long memory. All bullshit aside Ulf was and always will be a D-bag in my opinion for those cheap shots. He ended Cam's career which in my opinion was worth more as a hockey fan who enjoys watching the game than winning a cup. I live here in Pgh. Pa. and I can barely watch a game with any of my friends. They're so gung ho about "We didn't do anything wrong and the other team is always cheating." Every time a penalty is called on The Penguins my boys bitch and moan and say "Oh he took a dive!" Meanwhile the guy who took the supposed "Dive" has a Penguins players stick stuck in the Tuk of his skate. I am not saying I don't want the Penguins to win because I do but I can look at the game objectively and when I see a douche bag I call him a douche bag. Even if he happens to be on one of my favorite teams.

Actually I believe he was referring to the Matt Cooke blind-side elbow to the head that ended Marc Savards career...Cooke is widely considered one of the dirtiest players ever & that "incident" led to the rules changes re: hits to the head etc!!

the loss to the much hated cross town islanders, and at home no less, had me out on the streets looking to cop dope. luckily, some friends from New York flew out here and yanked me off the bender. holy fuckin' smokes do the rangers suck the mites off the sweat off a yaks balls. they beat the wild last night and play Toronto tonight. i cant wait for them to get back on the road, they can't win at home, it's a futile season for those punks. god damnit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Rangers and Penguins game on the 18th was a damn good game. The shootout at the end seemed to go on forever until Sutter scored. EDIT; I fucking HATE the Islanders too!

I'm a Bruins fan and I think the suspension is fair. Thornton made a stupid decision and he's being punished for it appropriately IMHO. Part of being in that tough guy role is not only starting shit, but it's also about using your head. Look at Barnaby and Domi. Both were really good enforcers, neither was huge if I can remember correctly, but they both used there head to get under your skin. Thornton doesn't think before he reacts and now he's paying for it. As a Bruins fan that hurts, but it's the truth.

Good assessment. I think the reason he got the time that he did is that he didn't simply react to a situation...he had time to cool off and think about the situation and then still made a poor choice. Premeditated vs reactionary is the issue as I understand it.

Honestly there's no room for any of the crap that Neal or Thornton pulled in that game. I am all for hard clean body checks and the occasional fight to keep the other team honest but the shit that goes on after the whistle is what I am talking about. Players attacking other players with malicious intent like Neal and Thornton did should be penalized until it stops. The league needs to be swift and direct with the suspensions when situations like these occur. They also need to treat all offenders the same! If a guy is a repeat offender they should treat him as such and if a guy makes a mistake one time he should get whatever suspension is warranted by how heinous the act he committed was.

The Pens kicked the Rangers ass yet again tonight. Henrik Lundqvist looked like a steaming wet pile of dog shit. The Rangers are like a turd this season. You just can't polish them. The only thing worse than the Rangers play was watching Sidney Crosby try to fight someone. I swear my little sister whose 120 lbs. could kick his ass. That boy is a huge vagina.

hot off the press- Cam Talbot now leads #NHL with .938 save percentage and is #2 with 1.66 GAA i'm proud to have the highest paid backup goalie in henrik in the history of the sport. what a weirdo shitball season so far.
