St. Louis will almost certainly produce goals for a team that needs goals. He's having a good year... tied for 4th among goal leaders.
On the other hand, the goalie Vancouver got in exchange for Luongo, Jacob Markstrom, has an NHL career record of 11-25-5.

I agree St. Louis will score. But he's in his 17th season. Callahan + a first rounder and second is too much. 5 years ago probably woulda been ok IMO.

And Vancouver just dumped 10mil in salary. Good move. 7uongo was overrated anyway.

Wow, surprised to see Callahan gone for St Louis. I like St Louis, but the Rangers screwed the pooch with that trade for a guy in the twilight of his career. That sounds like some kind of trade Ray Shero would do. The Pens need help on the wings, and honestly it wouldn't hurt to just totally redo the 3rd and 4th lines, Shero has been suprisingly quite. I'm surprised at how crappy the Sutter for Staal trade a couple of years ago has been for both teams.

Then again, Shero has his hand tied behind his back especially with Letang having the stroke a few weeks ago. Maybe that explains why Letang looked so awful most of the season. Dupuis being out hampers what he can do too trade wise also. Maybe he'll just rent a star until we get trounced in the playoffs again since he has some money to throw around with Letang and Dupuis on the shelf. I'd love to see Paul Martin get dumped on someone else, but that's just wishful thinking...

sid was getting picked on in the 1st period, I must say I liked it. but it was 2-0 pens and I turned it off early. crashed out, I was toast last night. it got blacked out?

I'll give San Jose credit, when they came out in the 2nd period they were hitting anyone remotely close to the puck. The Sharks totally outphysically played the Pens last night in the 2nd and 3rd period, and deserved to win that one because they hella outworked the Pens. You could see it in the Pens eyes last night in the 2nd and 3rd, if they had the puck they knew they were going to get the boom lowered on them. The Pens let themselves get outplayed physically, and deserved the loss. The only Pen that showed up to play last night was Zatkoff.

I like the ducks tonight if you're a betting man, 2nd night in a row for the long travelling pens and it's against the best team in the league. tough sailing if you ask me, may have to place some dough on it. gotta see the lines on everything.

Well, my B's ruled the East for 24 hours. I did, however, enjoy seeing the Crosby vs Ovechkin matchup result in 3 points for Crosby zero for Ovechkin.
