By the way, regarding the shot that the ref landed on him, I have taken bigger hits than that and never even looked around. The full dive was a bit much - I guess it's muscle memory!!

It seemed a bit dramatic to me too until I remembered that the spot where ref whacked him was where he had reconstructive surgery just a year ago...probably a bit edgy in that regard.

As a hockey fan, your disdain for Sid is kinda sad...his points are scored the same way as anybody else. Can you point to examples of undeserved points that would not have been scored as such for any other player?

Ovechkin is a defensive liability and Tommy, one way players have to turn into two way players. He used to be regarded as one better players in the world, his defensive play is his problem, and the team pays for it. I don't give phuck how many goals you score if your a -35, you are not even trying. Granted they made bad deals for some other players but I honestly don't know how any competitive person look at his own stats and not want to do anyhthing about it....he just doesn't care or he has been conditioned to get and do whatever he want.

when I really think about it, when the pens came back on them after being down 0-2 in that series in '09, the caps started to erode slowly, they may never have recovered from that, I mean fuck, the rangers have knocked them out two years in a row, time to fuckin' retool i'd say!
