  • Another Remington 1903A3 joins the family

    I picked up a sporterized Remington 1903A3 last week. Luckily, it has not been drilled and tapped, and the front and rear sights hadn't been molested. Best of all, it's all Remington parts with a milled trigger guard and pristine two groove barrel.

    I ordered a USGI stock set from Numrich, and replacement stock hardware from Sarco. Put her together last night, and I'm real pleased in how she turned out. I'm waiting on a replacement front sight blade as I had to take the original one off to get the handguard retaining ring on it.

    I'm going to convert this one to a vintage sniper as I already have another all matching Remington 03A3. I'm going to put an S&K No Drill No Tap scope mount on it, and I'm going to pick up one of the Hi-Lux reproduction M73B1 scopes to finish it off. Everything it too nice on this one to drill and tap the receiver, and the S&K kit gets really good reviews.
