A reality check?
Seriously, anyone who pays 1300 anything for that is a flaming retard. That's a $125 computer desk at WalMart (which I understand the UK/EU does not have).
Try IKEA, if they actually have anything made of wood, or something the general consistency of it.
For $1300, you could get something like this:
VersaTable is the industry leader & USA manufacturer of ergonomic standing desks, office furniture, education furniture and accessories. Shop premium quality computer and business furniture with risk-free 30 day money back guarantee and lifetime warranty.
Plus a few extras.
Or, you could spend about $200 total and build one in about 2 hours:
-2 side panel boards cut to your preferred height and width (home improvement store, lumber yard, whatever you have)
-a piece of wood cut to your preferred width and depth to serve as the workstation table (where your recording unit will go)
-smaller pieces for the cute little shelves
-2 to 4 blocks of oak, or some L-shaped brackets - this is for mounting the table and side panels.
-a box of wood screws if you go with the oak blocks to mount the sides and table.
-various do-it-yourself shelf bracket hardware to mount the cute little shelves for your monitors and mouse and PC and whatnot
-enough fabric to wrap the side panels and table (depends on total yardage) - if you can find tolex, or that thin carpeting they use in car trunks. I reccomend some thick fabric from either a craft store or wherever people who sew buy fabric over there - you should be able to find various camo patterns for the outer shell of a jacket, which will increase your workstation's Metalness. This stuff is considerably thicker than say cotton for a ladies' sun dress, so it's easy to spot. If you wouldn't want to wipe your ass with it, that's what you're looking for.
-a box of carpet tacks to attach the fabric to the wood panels. Thicker fabric also helps here, as the thin cotton stuff (animal prints, etc) will rip when you pull it tight. If you do go with the thinner cotton fabric, use some thick white glue like what people use on jigsaw puzzles (if anyone does that in your area). Over here it's a branded product called Mod Podge.
-a decent cordless (or corded) drill and screw-driving bits to do the work
-a hammer or other means of seating carpet tacks
-the various bits and bobs like casters or feet - can be found at the home improvement/hardware store, probably near the doorknobs and cabinet handles.
-a clear vision of what you want it to look like
Unless you're setting up a recording studio as a business, you are only screwing yourself by over-paying for something like that. You can get the same results by salvaging old furniture (personally I've got enough old/outdated computer desks and TV-related furniture to build an Ark), so if you know anyone who's throwing out an old entertainment center, TV stand, computer desk, or other such furniture, grab it.I want to depart this world the same way I arrived; screaming and covered in someone else's blood

I have no intention of paying that kinda money for a workstation. £1300 is a lot more than $1300. I've got some of the dimensions for the Coda 2480, not all.Fuck ebay, fuck paypal

so bullshit the rest of the dimensions. If you want it to snuggly fit your console, measure your console and work out how wide that shelf should be. Drill holes for cabling precisely where you need them for your gear. Jump in your favourite desk chair and work out how high the desktop should be. If your computer desk feels a bit low/high, adjust your measurement so that the shelf on your new workstation is where you want it. Draw up a simple plan with your measurements so that you can ensure left and right sides of the workstation match, etc. It may not be EXACTLY like the console your copying, but I bet that without a side-by-side comparison, no one would know. And it will be custom for your setupHail yesterday

with the way that thing looks,,
I think your best bet would be to find a roll around computer hutch, and make the top monitor stand,, that being said...
If you are any good with a saw, I'd say build it yourself brother. That model looks very easy to build.
I built mine in just 4 nights tinkering after work from concept to putting my gear in it and workiing.
I modeled mine after this Omnirax desk
At that time they were 1999.00 +250 shipping so I just did it myself
and it cost me a total of $114
mine is basically built as 2 side units and the center is just technically shelving,, that way it can be disassembled and moved very easily and through standard sized doorways no less.
I did cut the top racks down allot though,,in the end I didn't need that much up top
and eventually got in the way of my Soffit mounted speakers when I redid my room..
Alot of what VitaminG said to do to suss out how you want it to conform to your needs is right on with what I did,,( find the right table height/ chair/ keyboard tray, etc) and go from there.

What type of wood did you use, Moshwitz? I want to build a desk based on the Coda 2480 with wood as thick and heavy as my corner shape desk so it can't move. I'm not gonna use wheels on this. Nothing worse than moving the desk as I move a faderFuck ebay, fuck paypal

Or just go completely guerilla, grab whatever MDF you can find and make up your new monitor shelf or what have you & attach them to your PC deskHail yesterday
