The Ruger Mark series is always a good choice. If you are wanting something a little different, yet, traditional.....Sig and several others make a great .22 1911 based pistol. When you get into traditional style guns ( AR, AK, 1911, Glocks, etc. ) that are .22 caliber, do not be surprised by the price. It takes just as much machining and time to make a .22 as it does a .45, .223, 7.62, etc. Your best bet may b e a conversion kit for a gun you already own. -Lou
