Introduction

First up, Hello and thanks for letting me in!

My name is Art or "Hank" in 3D (middle name nickname). Been a Charvel/Jackson fan for ages and finally joined here after the forum kept coming up on searches for Charvel information. Been lurking and chomping at the bit while waiting (im)patiently to be let in.

About me:
I'm 44, been playing poorly since about 1985 and collecting different guitars along the way. Mostly 2nds and "lesser models" because I'm broke and cheap. Took about 6yrs off when my first son was born, but have gotten back to basics (and things skipped) in the last 3 years by bringing a guitar to work for lunchtime practice.

For amps I have a battery powered Fender 1wt twin, Fender Frontman 65 and a Peavey Classic Chorus 212.

Thanks all! That Surfcaster has a bit of a tale. I caught a place with their pants down on that one. $299 with a hard shell case was what it was listed for online. When I went to see it and make the purchase the tag read $599. I called them on it and jaws dropped. Legally they had to sell at the price listed online, problem was I hadn't told my wife I was going to buy another guitar.

Hid that for 5months in the vintage airplane my dad was building before coming clean.

There's saying, "It's easier to beg forgiveness than to ask permission."

Oh, I was left begging..... but I hit on a once in a lifetime deal!

A Surfcaster for $299 is worth being in the dog house for a while. That's a hell of a deal and I would have bought that thing for that price even though I am left handed.
