  • Bandfuse vs Rocksmith

Anybody try these? I like the layout of Bandfuse (tablature based). but don't know anyone that has it. Was considering it for my son, if he decides to continue playing after trying it, I might have to buy him a Marshall....LOL

I'd probably go with Rocksmith since it's been out longer and has a larger library. Wouldn't hurt to keep an eye on the other one, though. It's always the late-comer that ends up improving on the original concept, but it takes time. RockBand improved on Guitar Hero, after all, then Rocksmith came along...

The only problem with Rocksmith is the you have to buy a certain cable for it to work. I understand you can use a usb-1/4 cable on bandfuse. I tried playing rocksmith and it confused the hell out of me lol
      It's pronounced soops

I thought RS only used a usb-1/4" cable? Even then, you're buying a special cable, so aside from the price, what's the diffy?

Thanks Codex, just picked up Bandfuse this afternoon for 30 bucks @ Gamestop. Played it for 2 hours after I got it home after work. It's a hell of a lot of fun, it even comes with an adapter so you can line out to you stereo or Ipod type speaker set up with an auxiliary jack for your audio to avoid lag. I love the use of the tablature in this game, easy to use out of he box.

I met the Rocksmith founders in 2007 at a video game conference in SF when they were still working on the prototype version (was fun), glad to see they actually got it to market...

i was gonna start a new thread but its funner to hijack yours

why bandfuse is better than rocksmith...my 2 cents

the layout makes it easier to remember what you played.
you dont have to wait so long between playing.
songs out the box are IMO better.

                  thats all i got.

also to give extended life to your game cable, plug it into a dual female adapter and use a standard guitar cable. i pluginto a pedal then run out to the xbox so the game cable gets minimal wear n tear.
ive had BF for about a week now and havent given RS a second thought

that's a great idea. The RS cable isn't quite long enough to sit my ass on the couch. But I have guitar cables that are more than long enough to have me playing in the driveway
