Why is forum perfomance so poor lately?

No issues with the board here in Hong Kong, everything loads instantly...

I don't worry about slowness because I use a browser that goes through another system. Sometimes every site slows down for me. Its nothing to do with my stuff or the stuff I am looking at. Its the middle man...

But I have seen a definite increase in the 'database error' over the last few months. Progressively getting worse... I think it all began the week the site was down.

Haven't had too much problem with slowness but did have a lot of errors last time I tried to start a new post.

Activity on the forum is definitely declining though, which makes me sad.... I don't come by all that often, but when I do, there isn't a whole lot of new stuff going on.

I've been having problems for a couple months. Sometimes I have to connect through a proxy server as Cox Cable ISP won't work.

Been a real PITA for me here lately runs very slow.
I tend not to even comment in posts because it may be 5 min before the reply even posts.

Same as everyone here plus I have to keep re-logging in when I want to go to a 'members only' sub-forum. I was thinking my account was headed out the door.

That right there is what kills a forum. Let it become difficult to read, impossible to post, and folks will just go elsewhere.

Too bad the Forum owner just uses it for his own profit and doesn't do the proper maintenance and updates.

There's obviously a problem. Hopefully something is done about it sooner then later. I love this place, but lately its painful to be here and there's so many other options......

Seems to be normal again , I haven't had any slow issues in 2 days now.
