Taking this one too just to break it in.
Ok, now I'm just fucking jealous...

    I want a RPD... or a PKM...

    California sucks.

The RPD will give your shoulder a good work out trust me.
I've shot it from a standing position and with the bipod and its a bruiser.
16 lbs with no drum attached.
      Prone is the best way.
I'm looking for a tripod mount for it now.

Well, yeah... the RPD and PKM are squad automatics meant to be fired prone or mounted. I'm 5-7 and 155, I'd look silly trying to shoulder something like that, I know I'd love them though. Love 54r... one of my fav calibers to shoot. I've had a bunch of rifles in it and have enjoyed them all.

Those in stores currently are probably Bulgarian. Arsenal swithed from Russian Saiga's to Bulgarian AK's a couple years ago.

Xeno I know where a Russian SG 43 semi auto belt fed is complete with tripod and T&E mount..
If I could get a few guitars sold I'll go pick it up.I love the 7.62X54R too.
Lepard the ones I saw were Saiga's I looked closely.
The RPD is 7.62X39 but still the recoil is as harsh as a 30.06.

What did they want for them ? You should go buy every single one if they haven't jacked the prices up. Those things are bringing big money now.

They were in the $1050.00 price range.
You could buy them and then go to a gun show and maybe make a couple of hundred off each one.
If I am going to pay that for an AK I'll buy an older Poly Tech.

Ah, already jacked up. I think I paid $850 for mine brand new.

They have been this price around here for a few months so this shop isn't jacking the price any higher than it was before the news

I live in Cali... so all the stuff I have has been registered since 1999.

Recoil doesn't really bother me so much, I can usually shoot 54r, 06, 308 all day. The only battle rifle I didn't really like shooting is the HK91 or G3. That huge bolt and delayed locking design is uncomfortable for me. My Keltec KSG shooting any of the 1300-1600fps rounds is absolutely brutal. On the bench, I don't think many people could go through both tubes. Painful like African big game gun.

All I really want now is a tax stamped M16 receiver.

I thought about getting a bump-fire stock for my SKS, especially since I bought a bazillion rounds of 7.62x39 back during the "scare" of last year.

I might still get one because they look like loads of fun.

PT I'm not sure if a bumpfire stock for an SKS is made by any of the MFG's out there.
Can't say I have seen one yet but maybe there are.
I have had a few SKS's that had sticky firing pins that would unload a mag real quick.

For a "cheap" pre-86 copy. I thought actual Colt lowers were in the $15-$25k range...

I'm sure I could find one if I had the money to dish out. lol

Anything registered NFA is bringing stupid money right now still. Then again, it's not like they're letting anyone make anymore of them for us lowly individuals...

I'd give my left nut to have a real Tommy gun! Hell, I'd probably give the right nut too!
