OK hear me out. So Nevermore was my favorite band from 2008 or so to 2011 when they broke up. I was fortunate enough to catch the Obsidian Conspiracy tour, and I own the proverbial T-Shirt. I followed Loomis patiently through his solo albums (which sound like unfinished Nevermore albums), but I've been biding my time waiting for Nevermore to get back together. Unfortunately, Loomis is dicking around with Arch Enemy. So how can a band with Jeff Loomis in it possibly suck? I'm not sure, but Arch Enemy has cracked the code. Anyway, I figured his money would run out at some point and he'd have to get back to his cash cow Nevermore. But, it isn't happening. Arch Enemy is indeed our enemy!


I feel the main reason for this is his endorsement deal with Schecter. These enablers are slapping his name on a dozen mediocre models and are keeping the shitty gravy train rolling. I understand Warrel Dane may have some lyrics to the Obsidian Conspiracy already written?? We must put an end to this, and hold out for a new beginning!! Boycott Schecter today until Nevermore Reunification Day is upon us...complete with Warrel and Jeff. In the meantime, the teat shall run dry!


I'd like to see Chris Broderick back in the Nevermore touring lineup as well, but that maaaaaay involve a boycott of *gasp* Jackson and I don't want to get too greedy/crazy here.


Also I'm not sure if Loomis' endorsement deal with Engl is still in place or not. I have my people looking into those fuckwads.

My hatred of ESP began in the 80's when they begun producing not-legal copies of Jacksons right down to the heads and shit. And in the 90's they made their big push to single out Jackson, make barely-legal copies of various Jacksons, and pay artists to play them over the Jacksons they chose to play before ESP came along. I thought that was dirty business. In Japan ESP copied the hell out of everyone; Fender clones with Fender heads, Gibson clones with Gibson heads, Jackson clones with Jackson heads, etc. Ad they still get away with it.

All they do is knock off better brands then pay artists to play their knockoffs. It's getting tiresome seeing Euro-metal bands on stage with their knock off RR' s and Les Pauls.

And I noticed that Schecter was starting to do the same shit (albeit they came up with designs that were a bit more original than what ESP was producing). And they were still using their dirty business tactics of using their money to muscle the other brands. Both companies basically operate the "Microsoft" way of "he who has the gold makes the rules" and it's really hurt companies like Jackson.


And when I found out that the same guy who founded Schecter is the same guy who founded ESP, All I had to say was "it fucking figures."

I kinda like Arch Enemy. Granted, they aren't Nevermore but they aren't trying to be. Honestly, I didn't like Arch Enemy until Angela joined and I really like what Alissa is doing with them. Angela live was totally badass and I look forward to seeing the new line-up with Alissa and Jeff.

That said, I boycotted ESP and Marshall a long time ago......and I seriously don't think they noticed! so....... lol

I'd be down with a Nevermore reunion but I don't see it coming together unless something happens, like they decide to use This Godless Endeavor as the theme music for Star Wars. I'll always love BillZ for introducing them to me.

Loomis could fit in with any band and the live vids I've seen of him with the band he just kills. His playing sits alongside Amott's Schenker channeling quite nicely. But if he had to join a band with Amott, I'd rather it had been Spiritual Beggars. I'm not really down with the Arch Enemy vocal style and I don't think it would grow on me like LOG did.
