La ti da. Where did all the life in this forum go? This is fucking sad. The brand isn't dead. The fan base isn't dead, why is this forum dead? This place was tits not 3 years ago. Now it's forum offline every other day and regulars disappearing for months or years(myself included). What happened here? Don't tell me it's Facebook because the fb jcf is no better. I feel like I'm visiting a ghost town. 20,000 members and 10 new posts a day? Rant over.

People got shit to do, maybe? I'd prefer we were all out somewhere playing our Jacksons in front of people, but sadly it's probably the exception and not the rule.

I agree. I gave my playing out in front of people about 3 years ago. It's sad with all the heart and soul I put into it but such is life. Ive just become semi-relavant troll.

Well there's a lot of butt spelunking and work wanking to be done.

People are doing most of their posting in the JCF Facebook group. I prefer the forum because it's searchable, way better organized, stuff doesn't get buried & disappear as quick, etc., but it's just the way things are. Quite a few forums have died because of Facebook, and this one may too.

I use the forum because I don't have a Facebook. A lot of places are drying up because of social media nowadays.

Silly me. I never knew that there was a JCF Facebook page. I'll check that out.

There's a classifieds page as well. Also a Charvel Central page with some amazing eye candy and great info. Then there's the other Charvel page that is kind of entertaining at first, but will eventually make your head explode.

And the sites that haven't - if they allow any sort of communication, they are becoming like Facebook.
Don't get me wrong, i am making more money from my site. But I got involved with a file sharing site, and allowed people to comment on files. Since FB, less files are being posted (except personal photos) and there is more commenting. We've updated the communication sections countless times to handle to influx.
                      Disgusting.

On a serious note the homogenization of the web is disturbing.

I don't do Facebook either. I just lurk around, and post about hockey and guns every now and then.

I was just talking about that with a friend the other day. For a huge number of people, their whole web experience is a lot like AOL circa '95 or so, but with cat videos and more shopping options.
