I'm currently being schooled about an Indonesian luthier who can make the same guitar for $249. I pointed out that the pickups & bridge are worth more than that and one if his advocates explained that things are so much cheaper in Indonesia

Some maroons on there were bitching that a bolt-on would never be worth $3,000. I pointed out that Matt sells a bunch of different bolt-ons for $2,500, $3,500 & more. But they don't seem to take issue with Grosh, Suhr, Anderson, etc

$3000 for a really sweet Custom Shop piece is a good deal. Have a USA Custom Fender done with the same specs and see what the price is. If you think it's too much, don't buy it. Simple as that.....
