  • May the 4th Be With You!

Almost May 4th here in Central Time Zone (all you East Coast bastards have been soaking in it for an hour and didn't think about it? sheesh!)
I want to depart this world the same way I arrived; screaming and covered in someone else's blood

I like to think that I'm slightly ahead of the trend by already being sick of bloody Star Wars.

Went and saw Maiden to end my Star Wars day. Good show, Bruce was in good form.

Did watch The Fart Awakens on the plane when I flew home today. Still think it's a total regurgitated POS!

While the revenge of the fifth is a new one to me, I feel kind of odd having Ascension Day the day after May the Fourth. And sharing it with Cinco de Mayo.

Do people look at you in disbelief when you don't get any of their Star Wars references?

more of a look of disbelief when i tell them it never mattered at all to me, held no sway whatsoever.
i was 11, or 12 when that movie came out, i should of been hooked but it rolled right off of me, it was ok, nothing more

I think for me I was 12-13 and in puberty and at the time I thought it was a little kid movie. I was at the end of my phase and beginning to chase tail so chasing tail trumped Star Wars movies I remember waiting in a long-ass line with a friend of mine that wanted to see it. About a 1/4 way in I was like...this is a waste of my time LOL.

I tried watching them later...I don't believe I made it all the through any Star war movie

I've seen a little of that. Holy Shit, and people think Bollywood turns out steaming piles, they need to see that one. A new level of OMGWTF.

As for you guys who claim to not "get" the whole "Star Wars thing" - these are to science fiction movies what EVH is to guitar; started strong, but then became the same-old as the years went by.
