• My New Band

I just want to share my excitement with you guys.

Last week I hooked-up with the guys in RedVolution http://www.redvolutionmusic.com. I have added guitars to the song Sand, which is here: http://www.rightsideout.net/music/Re...nnah_Moore.mp3 if you're interested in checking out what we're doing.

The band name will likely be changed. We are shooting for June/July to start playing live in Austin.

Keep on rockin dudes!

Don't worry - I'll smack her if it comes to that. You do not sell guitars to buy shoes. You skimp on food to buy shoes! ~Mrs Tekky 06-03-08~

Great Playing Annah as usual. I thought it worked quite well with the mood of the piece.
I like your own stuff better though. Maybe you can help show them the way
I'm glad and excited for you that you have found others to work with again. There's nothing like playing live and having new people or musicians around to work with. It always seems to open us up to new musical ideas and adventures.
ROCK ON
STEVE ....you better check out Annah's Website....she's definately no DUDE!

Re: My New Band

lol, thanks Outlander. The stuff I laid-down on Sand is just the beginning, and very rough. The solos are totally scratch... just one-shots to fill-in for now. All the tracks are raw, actually. We'll be going in and re-recording everything some months down the road. It is a departure from what I have been doing on my own, but it is challenging me in a different way. I'm actually hoping to break out of my "80's Metal" stigma... honestly, my goal is to go beyond all stigmas and break new ground by evolving my own unique style, which is VERY hard to do without being pigeon-holed. That's not to say I'm headed away from heavy/Marshall-infused stuff, just trying to break boundaries. It's been time to take heavy guitar to a new level for a long time (for me, at least).

DM: Thanks! Hey, sorry to hear about the drummer. That suxx. They're often the hardest member to find. And as far as Atlanta goes, I/we would LOVE to play there! What's a good venue to start in?

I like Kathleen Turner Overdrive, too. HAH! That's hillarious.

What's a volution, and are they always red?

I think the song is really cool, reminds me a little of RHCP meets Jane's Addiction meets Primus.

Anyhoo, sounds good, Annah, though it ain't my favorite type of music - who's on drums, Stewart Copeland? Seriously, the guy should try decaf
