Pratchett's work is mostly humorous but there is a very deep thread behind pretty much all of it. It deals with the nature of belief and shit like that. One of the points that the book makes is that Vorbis, the head of the Inquisition, believes he is being instructed by Om, the god of his religion. Of course he isn't, he's just insane. Throughout the whole book Om is actually a small turtle talking to one of the student monks, but you get the point. It's cool, check it out. [img]images/icons/grin.gif[/img]

Another little thing that pisses me off is when I ask people around my age what kinda music they like, and they respond with "I listen to all kinds of music, and I'll listen to anything. I don't dislike any type of music". I'm a bit forgiving, since I was the same way a couple years ago, but it's still annoying. For one thing, it's not at all specific, and doesn't give me a clue what they actually sit down and listen to for enjoyment. Plus when I show them a cd like, say, Severe Torture's Misanthropic Carnage, they usually then have a type of music they don't like. [img]images/icons/grin.gif[/img] [img]graemlins/band.gif[/img]

Well, so far Severe Torture has worked for me. Most of the people who've said they "like all kinds of music" to me are happy-go-lucky hippies who think they're super open-minded and stuff.

Not everybody is passionate about music, and an answer like that just tells me I don't need to try and get that person worked up about the music I like. I'll try to find other common ground if I want to befriend such people, than trying to use music for the purpose.

i can't understand what the !@#$ is wrong with todays music and lyrics - you know what's wrong with music but :

all songs i hear on radio/mtv are about love ( i'm so happy you !@$%# me , you betrayed me , etc) or lyrics about partying ?

hell aren't there ANY other themes ?
i.e. hatred, anger, stress , not to mention such amusable themes like autopsy , necrophilia , coprophilia , stabbing someone with a rusty knife/ chainsaw etc ? [img]images/icons/smile.gif[/img]

My dad bought a 1984 Vette when it was brand new ...four years later I bought it and still cherish it ...I know it's 20 years old ...but it looks bad ass ..ALL Black , Blacked out everything with only 30K on the clock and lots of cool mods to make it run like a raped ape..Original paint BTW...a real Black Cherry!!!

Well I'm in route at noon to pick up my mom to go to the Cemetary to visit Grandma ...in a very bad part of town .....my old District ...

Well while I was in route this dude in a red Dodge Ram darts right out of a driveway and NAILS me!!!!!!

The dude was cool as could be and gave me all his info for the report , which I did and apoligized that he didn't see me....what could I say .

Now my broken neck is fucked ...my Baby is fucked and I really and truly need to smoke a bowl right now ..

I was planning on selling the Vette (it'll get fixed free of charge of course....his Ins.) and buy a Z06 or a Shelby Cobra ...I think I'll get the Cobra..everyone and their momma has a Vette...nobody has a Cobra and they are soooooo Sweet...we'll see!!!!

It's all fucked up ...I don't drive in the rain or nothin' and a bitched at my poor kid just days ago for puting a small scratch on it with his Bike...SHIT!!!


I think I should go to the Hospital and have them check out my neck ....because it's on fire ...it hurts everyday to start.....it just may be tension ....but I took enough meds to usualy take the edge off ....but the meds are not working at the moment.....Jeez I don't need this shit

I just tied up the loose ends of my wife's accident and now another accident......people can't fucking drive ...they are so much in a fucking hurry to go nowhere fast.
