about autopsions and other "interesting" stuff -nope i just started listening to goregrind/ deathmetal again recently [img]images/icons/grin.gif[/img]

But isn't it somehow true that more alternative music deals with things like politics ,society problems , anger, inner psychic problems of a human , etc I don't hear that much of it on the pop channels

rather "shake ya ass" type-lyrics...

Yo Bill, hope your neck turns out to be ok, but don't wait around to go to the doctor or the hospital-I saw my grandmother wait around to go to the doctor for months while a cancerous tumor grew to the size of a grapefruit on her colon! I didn't listen to Ratt for years because, despite making some pretty kick-arse rock, I couldn't stand Pearcy's incessant whine over the top of it. It's only in recent years that I've been able to tolerate his vox and enjoy the performance beneath it.

I like plenty of non-vocal music. I could listen to Miles Davis & John Coltrane all day long. Jennifer Batten, Blues Saraceno & Steve Vai all rock. I don't like Satriani's vocal music, but I do like Vai's. It comes down to the performance by the vocalist, more than what they are saying. Children of Bodom play some great music, I just wish Alexi would keep his mouth shut or learn to sing.

I used to and can still play some this shit ....I'm gettin' the bass "itch" again...

That is one thing I like about Mudvayne...the bass player is always doing crazy stuff like that underneath everything...I like ear candy that's almost in the background like that.

There is no new big bass hero out there , none that is ever mentioned except Myung and he appears to be very "proficient" at what he does but not creative / Inventive ...I like that!

Jeff Berlin ...could play in any band and be awesome ...is he dead???!!

...I never listened to Mudvayne it was always appeared too Nu for me ...is that guy good..

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">I do listen to and enjoy different types of music. It often just depends on the mood I'm in at the time.

Sometimes, I just feel like popping in Aretha, sometimes I need to hear some Reel Big Fish, sometimes I'm in the mood for Metallica, sometimes it's Lyle Lovett.

But I can't say I like "all types" of music, because there's a lot I don't like.

The dude from Mudvayne doth kicketh much arse....eth. I'm not much into their music, but the dude's got some groove.

Speaking of kick arse, wood-slapping players in a metal context, check out Doug Wimbish's playing on Living Colour's Stain.

Oh, and I've recently found out that Billy Sheehan will be touring with Steve Vai when he tours Australia in July. I won't know which side of the stage to stand. Vai in the middle, Sheehan on one side & MacAlpine on the other [img]images/icons/grin.gif[/img]
