Hello my friends (and Sully)!
I arrived in Croghan N.Y. on the 21st of April after the single most miserable trip across the country I ever could have imagined. Everything I own was packed in that truck including the cab so you couldn't move or recline the seats, and we (My Dad and I) were driving four LONG days. A LOT of stuff got left behind, too. The first two days were ok, then I got sick and had to sit in that damn truck unable to move for the last two days, driving only for short stretches to relieve Dad. It was another infected Dialysis catheter, so that put me directly into the Watertown hospital for a week. I got out, and three days later I couldn't walk so back to the hospital again. I've been here for a week and a half or something now.
It seems I have a staff infection in my as well. blood and it's attacking various parts of my body, such as catheters and my hip. I had surgery on my hip a week ago today and I'm just now able to put weight on it and try to walk. Word around the campfire is I'm gonna be here for a spell. Yippee. I have my Charvel here with me so at least I can play a little!
To top that off, there is talk of a plugged return artery to my heart that may necessitate surgery as well. Basically, my body is falling apart quickly. I used to joke that I'd be dead by 45. That may have been much more accurate than I ever would have imagined.
Anyhoo, I found out yesterday I could get online using the room phone, so my Dad brought me his laptop tonight and put an AOL account on it so I can get online and talk with ya'll! What have I missed??
I still don't have a new email account set up, hell-I basically haven't been home- but I can still access the cableaz account via webmail, plus you can reach me here, cause I'm gonna be here a lot!
Very happy to be back, and I certainly missed you all. Nothing like Life repeatedely knocking ones dick in the dirt to learn to really appreciate the little things...miracles are everywhere. All you gotta do is look for them.
