For Slash Fans

I just heard the new song "Slither" from Velvet Revolver (guys from guns w/Scott Weiland), and thought it was kickass! Slash's solo is great as usual. I love the old school sound and was surprised that Scott's vocals fit right in. I wasn't much of an STP fan because I hate that Grunge sound and vocal style but I loved this song. Has anyone heard other songs from them? Are they as good or even better?

Scott looked half dead in the video...I don't think he's kicked the coke habit.

I also saw on TV (Uranium channel) a new video by "Probot". Its Dave Groel and Lemmy's new project. http://www.southernlord.com/probot/

They also have an old school heavy sound. The video for "shake your blood" is great. Thank God old school is making a comeback!! [img]graemlins/headbang.gif[/img]

I've been trying to find the Velvet Revolver CD for weeks!! Since "Set Me Free" came out on the Hulk Soundtrack I've been wanting this CD. I was a huge GNR fan and I had liked STPs stuff too.

I agree that song kicks ass. I hope it isn't just a one time deal. THe opening riff is pretty cool, and weiland's vocals do seem to fit in quite well. Whether or not he's kicked the habit, i couldn't say, but he has looked half dead for the past few years.
