I had to get gas for the lawn equipment, TrailBlazer & Chev Silverado and some in my wifes demo today (amazingly all empty at the same time). Jesus. Fucking. Christ. I'll miss my son

Heck, I remember going to the corner store to get gas for my dad's lawnmower
and it was 22 cents per gallon! He'd give me 30 cents, which was enough to get a 6 0z. Coca Cola if I brought the old deposit bottle back with me!

Then again, the house I grew up in cost my dad $11,000 in 1962!

Over here, unleaded is about £3.70-£3.75 a gallon.
At the current exchange rate, I make that about $6.50!
Still, I guess it keeps the Ministers in coke and hookers.

Snoogans, I know what you mean, I'll be driving next year and I don't know how I'll be able to afford Tax, Insurance, Petrol etc.

Worst thing is, I can only see the prices going up :S

When I was driving in high school (95-96) I think gas topped out around 80-90 cents/gallon. I had no problem driving my 1978 Chevy Caprice. Now if I had that car, I think my asshole would be sore every time I left the pump.
