• you have one shot

to be a cardboard cutout of a much heralded guitar player. you would be famous, yet always compared to him, thus holding you back from emerging into the ultimate spotlight of icons
in the world of hard rock guitar. who do you choose to be like.
(in other words, pick one and only one guitarist
that makes your dick hard enough to cut diamonds.
in other words, who is your favorite. only one!)

now the perfect guitarist in my book would be a hybrid of evh, beck, demartini, vai, and randy.
but alone-
it's fukkin' eddie van halen all the fukkin' way!! the most influential guitarist since the mighty jimi hendrix.
this warranty is void after the 1984 album.

If it had to be one, it'd be Eddie.

It's hard to not say Randy but, sadly, he just didn't live long enough to put out a volume of material comparable to EVH's. If he had as many records - and assuming they were just as great - it'd be neck and neck.

John Petrucci

He's pretty much the reason I'm even playing guitar today.

Eric Johnson....cuz then I'd be able to play anything, and have an amazing tone too. He can fingerpick like a bastard also, as if his electric playing wasn't enough.

Frank Zappa. Though he may not be the ultimate anything as far as his guitar playing goes, I think he had a great feel and stamina. He also could handle most styles competantly.

Just one uh?It's hard.....when I was really young there was two guitarists that make me want to play guitar, Murray and Mustaine.
So....
Dave Mustaine.
Altought I'd love to have the feeling of Chuck Schuldiner and Dave's style.
