I've always really dug how he's worked some blues influences into Motley's stuff. And that wasn't exactly a particularly popular direction to go in the 80s.

I would have to say Randy Rhoads was the guy who did it for me. Although I really dug Eddie, I leaned more towards Randy right away, I love the classical influence and the fact that he was very melodic -and- could do all the funky VH shit if he wanted to.
