Bear in mind it is a true basement tape done on a 4 track cassette... Not what he's totally happy with but it should give you some idea.

Nice. The first tune reminds me of old Kreator. The second tune is very Overkill-ish (Horrorscope era Overkill)

The begining of the second tune (Scapegoat)sounded alot like Control Denied in the Vocal department. zeegler nailed it with the kreator comment. It reminded me of "Pleasure to Kill" as soon as the bridge kicked in. Not bad at all.

Thank you very much guys. I would think that Drip and the rest of you Death Heads would prefer High Speed Death Roll...The was Ty's first attempt EVER to do some death Vox stuff. His old band Antithesis can't belive that's him..

Ty was going to be Ripper's Replacemet in Winters Bane when Timmy went to Priest in '96..but Ty didn't want be in Tim's shadow...and opted to join Antitehsis that was signed to Massacre records..

He's a really good singer , that tape doesn't do him justice really ..we need to get tp a real studio and do this right ..

I love Kreator , Death , Testament , Slayer , Nevermore and stuff from the 'At The Gates" school ...so all that kind of stuff is going to bleed thru ...unwillingly and sub-consciencely..

There is probably 100 bands ripped off in those two songs... [img]graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]

Scapegoat was written with my days with John (CM) in Evilution.

That stupid song started with three notes (the rythm part) John thought I was fucking nuts ...but we fucked with it and it became a 'song'....that song was written for Ty ...I wanted to show off his voice ...I like his voice.. [img]images/icons/smile.gif[/img]

shit dude...that's really good sounding stuff...i prefer scapegoat myself but high speed is cool too...i agree you guys downplay your talent and recording too much...it's better than you think it is...d.m.

Really thanks DM that means a lot . I have a song called Father Felon that's definately more up you alley ...it was recorded the poorest but it is a great retro straight foward metal tune IMO...maybe I'll have John post those too..

Father Felon and Scapegoat were written back when John and I were together ..Evilution

Evilution may still exist maybe someday as a metal cover band with me just on bass..

But I have to close the deal on this stuff for now ...

There is actauly a solo for High speed ..not many tracks to play with on the tape recorder... so the solo wasn't on there...it will be in studio ...it's during that black metal riffage part..when Ty's not singing , or I may play it over that thrashy middle section..or both.. Scapegoat will only have that short fast solo in the intro and maybe a few fills here and there ..

I do a pretty blazing solo in a song called Father Felon but John didn't post that one ...because I think that song is the most poorly recorded and mixed ..I may post it just for the solo sake ... [img]images/icons/wink.gif[/img]


I can't get too crazy with solo overdubs and whatnots because I'm the only guitarist with just a bass player and I have to play this stuff live....

I suppose I could have John post it ...there's another song as well ...it's like a black metal / Death song with Clean vocals ...that's a twist.

Dude your Torquestra stuff sounds fucking great ..you are a pretty diverse player ...that's very cool

On bass I'm total Funk / Jazz / Fusion.

On guitar ....it's metal.
