The song seemed decent enough.

Although for me it seemd more like Eddie's "B-side" stuff than a straight up effort.

One thing that bugs me is the new-style tone with the old-style playing.. to my ears, the 2 don't mesh.

I also don't get that intro.. seems pointles.

Then again, The man could fart on his pups and it would still sound better than anything I could do so I should shutup.

It sounds a little tired honestly . Ed seemed to have lost his fire . Sounds to me he's just goin' thru the motions and shit..I'm sure he could use some money.

It definitely sounds like Ed though but nothing like he used to with Dave.

With Sammy they always writes poppy shit very little songs with 'Tude' ..on fire , Light up the sky , atomic punk , house of pain , ain't talkin, Im' the one, hang 'em high , meanstreets....etc...

They've been playing it on the radio every hour, one the hour for the past 2 days here. To be brutally honest, it sucks! Yeah, the singing is good, and the guitar is good, blah, blah, blah, but the fact is, the song is nothing new, nothing original, and sounds like they just didn't bother making a decent effort.

I think he looked worse at the 03 Winter NAMM show, I spent about 30 minutes with him and the Charvel boys upstairs at the Peavey booth.

The new songs sucks. Eddy should either get Dave back in the band or let Sammy write. Actually, I expected it to suck. Most of the songs on their last several records suck. What a let down.

I've been listening to the song for the last couple of days. I like the verse, but I don't really care for the "choir boy" chorus. Since Hagar has been in the band they do that alot... too often in fact. Funny because most solo Hagar songs don't have that.

I like Eddie's playing on this tune. The man has a great feel to his playing even when going through the motions like he is here.

This is some pretty mediocre stuff from VH and I don't know if anybody else noticed but the drums are pretty dang sloppy in parts too. I just don't hear that awesome VH groove in there anywhere and where is Eddie?? Take the vocals out and this could be anybody.

P.S. I've got a ticket for the show in Tampa. 4th row on Eddie's side of the stage. Haven't seen VH live since OU812 although I saw them a bunch of times in the 80's (yes I am old, hehe).

It's a passable tune, it has a little bit of gumption at least. Better than I expected, actually. Its a competetive enough radio single, it's not an embarassment compared to anything else out there. His playing sounds like Eddie, take it or leave it. It sounds at least a little more focussed than some of his aimless noodling on the later records. If you are a VH fan,(I am not) I would only be hoping that: they still sounded like VH, with some of the spirit, and the material was at least decent, which seems to be the case. If you were hoping that Eddie was going to somehow "save rock guitar" (?)(translation - make the 80's happen again) you deserve to be disappointed. Actually, maybe by some miracle, he can make it the 80's all over again!! But he can't make you 20 again, so be careful what you wish for [img]graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]
