To ALL: THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE TO OUR COUNTRY!

thanks to all that have ,am,or will serve.
when i think of a soldier or a marine, i think of myself and then add courage, fortitude, responsibility, balls, goodness,
and about 46 other qualities that i lack.
        thanks again.

                  Re: Memorial Day ....Monday 31st

My 82 year old grandfather is going to Normandy next week for the 60th anniversary of D-Day - he stormed the beach as a very brave young man. I can't begin to fathom the balls those men must have had to jump in the water knowing what was waiting for them. I know Memorial Day is a Yank holiday, but we Canadians are proud of our heroes as well.
Kudos to all who fight to protect my freedom.

I was going to post something all meaningful and everything but you can just read LesPaulCustom's reply. He hit the nail right on the head as far as a service members point of view.

                          Re: Memorial Day ....Monday 31st

well, i was thinkin about this weekend earlier today, and what it symbolizes, and it made me think of my grandfather, who was an air force officer, and my great uncle stan.

my great uncle stan was a fighter pilot in WWII, and he was shot down in battle. i've shared this picture before, but i'll post it again. my great uncle stan is 2nd from the left. i only wish that i could have met him.

give 'em hell, boys; past, present, and future.

                          always grateful,
