I can't remember the last time I played sitting down, although I was really hammered one night, plugged in and played while laying flat on my back on the floor.

occaisionally I'll sit on the couch just to dink around or try to rip off some licks from video [img]graemlins/images/icons/wink.gif[/img]

Do yourself a favor and always stand when playing. Now if your just jammin on acoustics or electrics for fun, sitting is fine. But if you're practicing for real, I suggest standing.

Almost aways our sofa or loveseat. Once in a while I use the D'Addario stool that I got for sending back to them a bunch of string containers. The only problem with it is that after a fairly long playing session, you wish that it had a cushion. [img]images/icons/smile.gif[/img]

Mostly I stand, but when I sit, I am using a drum throne (a cheap 29 dollar model)...works for me

I stand up too,to me it's a different angle playing the guitar sitting which doesn't work well standing.Who sits down on stage anyways? Besides some Neil Young type music that is [img]graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]

I never understood how people could sit on barstools type of seats and be comfortable playing guitar on them. Sitting on a stools makes me slouch unnaturally and the guitar slides away from me. [img]graemlins/scratchhead.gif[/img]
