You probably won't be able to burn the CD as bootable, or at least not as Windows 98 bootable, so you'll probably have to set up a DOS boot disk with the CD-ROM driver in CONFIG.SYS and an AUTOEXEC.BAT file to initiate MSCDEX.EXE.

I have that OS in CD my friend. I have Windows 3.1 in floppies, 95, 98se, and XP professional in CDs. If I can help, tell me how.

Windows 98?

I just bought an older computer for my 4 yr old to use. It's an old Pentium, and obviously won't run XP. I want to re-format it because the previous owner left a whole pile of crap on it. However, I seem to have lost my Windows 98 disk, and after asking a dozen people, no one seems to have it any more. I'm getting really frustrated here. I still have the book with the serial number on it, but no damn disk.

So, my question is, does anyone know where I can get a copy of windows 98? Can I download it if I have the serial? HELP, before I pull my hair out. [img]images/icons/frown.gif[/img]
