Like the Roush Mustang, the Saleen is a good turnkey high performance Mustang for someone who doesn't care to build it themselves. I'd prefer to do it my way and have a car more suited to what I want and at a cheaper price.

Both companies make respectable cars that are pretty outstanding vehicles nonetheless. They are particularly cool when you just want to finance a car that is road race ready and not deal with building one and all the BS that can come with doing that. It's just whether you care to pay that sort of money for it.

I used to have a '91 GT and I loved it. It was a great car... Not as fast as the '99 and '02 Z's I've had, but very cool none the less. I say go for it! Great bang for the buck.

Yeah, the Zs truly have a lot of boom outta the box for sure, lotsa seat of the pants power.

Ford really screwed up going to a lesser power plant in competition with that line ehh? hahaha... I'll never understand that at all, when they had the 5.4 modular that could have fit the Mustangs on the assembly line with some strut tower changes I believe. They drop in easy from the top, but assembly lines had to put them in from underneath which was a problem. Sigh...

However, the good thing about the stangs is that aftermarket power adders are cheap and very easy to install...

Try puttin a set of headers or heads on your Z, hehehe... Can we say Mega pain in da ass? Actually, general work on them is a pain. I'd buy one if I never had to touch it myself to work on it. And they sure are VERY cool in stock form. Nice looking as well IMO, sorta odd to drive though.

Saleen's are a bit overpriced IMO. A buddy of mine had a S351 Saleen and it was pretty cool but also a pretty $$$.
