I HATE CANCELLED CONCERTS!!

My friends and I had been looking forward to this concert for a long time - Velvet Revolver. We were all just waiting to see Slash...we needed this concert to blow off steam after a long ass term. Well, after driving 2 and a half hours to Portland, we get to the Roseland and a woman hands us a little slip of paper:
"Due to an illness in the band, Tonights show has been postponed until June 22.We apologize for any inconvenience."
We figured that by "illness" they mean that Scott Weiland overdosed or something...And F**k apologizing - pay me back my wasted gas money! DAMN YOU ROCK STARS!!!

I wouldn't count on a band like velvet revolver for anything. Especially with scott weiland at the helm. That guy is hopeless.

YOu would think there would be some way of letting you know ahead of time. DOn't they usually anounce it on the radio or something? That really does suck donkey. Make sure if you go to the rescheduled show, you heckle them real good!

Killswitch Engage cancelled out the other weekend. I was mad, but it was nice to not have to go to work that day.

You're just lucky that the coroner didn't haul him out in a big ziplok baggie with a bloody needle sticking out of his arm, which I expect at any time.

it really all depends on if the fed ex. shipment
(the supply boats that is [img]images/icons/grin.gif[/img] )made it through and onto the truck for delivery.
i know firsthand about these hurdles [img]images/icons/wink.gif[/img]

one time we had tickets to see kiss at the coliseum on long island in '84 i think. we infused our bodies all day with all kinds of
party favors starting around 11 a.m. and went straight through till we got to the parking lot outside the coliseum. there were about 9 cars there and we were so whacked that we did not bother listening to the radio all day(like we would have heard the news anyway)and stumbled all the way to the entrance doors mumbling to the security dudes-"where is everybody? and where are all the girls?" they just laughed at us and said go home. this prompted an increase in the partying for the rest of the night and next day. idiots we were!! oh yeah,
the worst was the diver down tour. the night before a show at the meadowlands in new jersey, eddie breaks his wrist to the dismay of the whole world it seemed like. we saw them a month later, and eddie still had a cast on. pretty awesome show, but it did not compare to the fair warning tour the year before. nothing did in my mind.

Damageplan cancelled here last month, and still haven't rescheduled (or if they did, I missed it)...anyway....it sucks when someone has to bail. But from what I heard Dime and Vinny's dad was very ill (heart attack or something)..so I don't blame them...I just want to see the damn show.

ME TOO... Time ago, by the Justice For All tour, Metallica was going to be here in Puerto Rico, at The Hiram Bithorn Stadium. The weather was a total fuck-up, it was raining (with thunders and lightnings) like a deluge since around 3:00PM. It was near 8:00PM and it was still raining. The stage was around 50 feet the back of the second base, and it was flooded from the home plate n'dog-outs to the pitcher's hill. Then the promoter gave us the notice that the concert was going to be suspended because of the rain, and because the light and sound wires were down under water, and it was dangerous for the public. Damned!, I remember it started a mud war. [img]graemlins/laugh.gif[/img] Lars drums were gray, and they turned brown. There was a riot that the police had to end. Every pub in San Juan was full of long haired people wearing black, joking with the half ticket. The money was given back, but we got mad, it was the first time Metallica was going to be here, and we thought that it was going to be the last oportunity... and it was, because they have never came back... hmm...

some months ago ozzy cancelled a show here in holland. it was moved about a month. and guess what... that show was cancelled too and moved forward. just to be cancelled again. so after three times people saw i was useless and ozzy didn't perform in holland at all.
