• a song on the transformer's movie soundtrack

Alright there's a song on this soundtrack (which I have), called "Hunger" by Spectre General.

Well just yesterday I was watching MEtal Mania on Vh1 Classic and The exact same song came on by a band called King Kobra.

It's pretty much identical...so who get's writing credits for it? King Kobra was one of the most cheesy looking bands ever...lots of red shiny pleather..and white bleached hair with pink hilights...lots of aquanet.

The song kicks ass though. heh.

Man, the song on that movie called "Dare to be Stupid" is a great song...it's my personal theme song, I think.

I saw that special too. The singer became a woman later on. Eeww. I noticed two different band names, but the song sounded the exact same either way, so I don't know if it was done by the same band under a different name or not.

Hunger is credited as 1984 SashaSongs as are most of the songs on the first (and major KICK ASS) King Kobra record, Ready To Strike (see avatar ).

Transformers is credited as 1986, so I would say that King Kobra wrote the song, and it was covered for the movie.

OK, I'm listening to it right now and that's def the King Cobra song Hunger. It might be them under an alias (maybe they didnt want to have anything to do with a cartoon except the money).

Also I must let you know that because of you I'll get nothing done today. Not only will I sit around jamming to the Transformers theme but I just know I'm gonna end up watching the movie a couple times.

I'm half tempted to throw my copy in the old DVD player now, too.

By the way, I believe that "The Touch" was originally written and recorded for the movie. I thought it was hilarious how they used the song in Boogie Nights.

I was under the impression that most of the songs on there are done by Lion (under a different name), Doug Aldrich's early band. Maybe not the King Kobra song, I know that the them song was done by Lion (or whoever they were called for that soundtrack).

there's 2 or so Lion songs on there..including teh theme song. Which doesn't have the cool transformer vocals on "more than meets the eye" which is kind of a let down for me.

Yeah, it definately is the best Cartoon/Movie ever made. Definately the most hardcore PG rated cartoon ever.

                            "DIE AUTOBOT SCUM!"

Anyway, Hunger is played durign teh part when Hot Rod and Kup are stuck on the water plant with the sharkicons (sp) and they fight the big robot octopus.
