As a lifelong Spurs fan, I unfortunately will not take too much joy in the wins, although having him out of the west might benefit the Spurs next year, as well as breaking up the Lakers.

o.k., here are el duque's numbers for today-
IP HITS RUNS ER BB SO HR PC-ST ERA
5 5 2 2 3 5 1 88-51 3.60
yanks up 7-3 in the 6th.
i'll take it. heredia is in the game so it's far from over.
he scares more than any other yankee pitcher. my sister might as well be up there on the mound. we'll have to wait and see if we can hold on. i mean it.

the cranks win 10-3.
sox were down 5-2 but get 3 in the 7th to tie it up. pricks.
swingin' soriano hits sac fly in 8th to give texas 6-5 lead.
not too bad for the sox, it was 2nd and 3rd with no out for texas to start the inning. sox leave nomar on 2nd to end the inning. to the 9th we go.

the sox go down 6-5 and questionably i might add.
pokey reese gets picked off at first in the 9th, but he looked mighty safe. johnny damon on 3rd with two outs
and bellhorn takes a called third strike that did not look like a strike. i'll take it
state of the empire- 7 lovely games ahead at the break.

the 2nd half will come down to what it always comes down to,
and that is pitching.
hammy ramirez and that gorilla ortiz both have 77 rbi's at the break and that is pretty sick. damon is hitting well, mueller must step it up as well as nosemar. i'm happy with 7 games but it will be needed. this season is far from over.
can kevin brown come back and stay healthy, will mussina pull his groin again, can el duque be effective, and c'mon jose, don't fukk up!!!! i think the yankee bats ignite after the break and help the depleted staff hold the lead.
it really is a sick lineup, and they are by no means anywhere near their usual numbers. it will be the key to winning the division and going back to the series. i am not impressed with the pitching so far. what a feeble existence i lead. i go as the yankees go. now, do i watch vh-1, g.i. jane, nick and jessica? no, i will stay online and post headache stuff instead. i used to be cool-lol

Ok, I'm back from grocery shopping, Here's how the 2nd half will break down

Al East- Yanks carry on through the summer, red sox stick on till about the 3rd week in august and crumble, end the season 11 games down to the yanks

Al central- Twins take it, The white sox hang on and battle for the wild card

Al west- Oakland wins, texas stay's in the hunt till the end and edge out chicago and boston for the wild card

Nl west- A Awsome september for the rivelery for the dodgers and giants, comes down to the last weekend with La taking it

Nl Central- St. Louis runs away with it, the cubs and reds hang on to wild card dreams though

Nl East- the Phillies and Mets bomb the 2nd half as usuall, and the Braves win again

that is a fine analysis snoop, but the A.L. east is all that matters
i think the white sox with that ridiculous lineup overtake the twins. especially with garcia.
the cards win, the cubs, dodgers, and a team from the east battle for the wild card.

I don't know it always seems chicago teams faluter in the 2nd half. the white sox do have a great line up but I never trust chicago teams.
