• A Victory for Common Sense

A Mass. court denied a woman the grounds to sue after she was injured at a Red Sox game by a foul ball. She was suing for about 500,000. She had to have reconstructive surgery on her face, claiming she had 8 plates put in.
Too bad, b!tch . Shoulda been paying attention, like everyone else. Bring a glove next time and keep your eye on the ball.
Its nice to see the courts force someone to accept resposibility for the risk they freely chose to take, and not blame someone else.

when i saw the thread title, i knew i would not have been anywhere on that battlefield-lol

these days, i'm surprised she was not suing everyone from fenway, to the 3rd base coach,
all the way down to the bat boy and the ball itself. 3 cheers for the judge. wow, i've never thought something like that before.
Not helping the situation since 1965!

"Your honor, Sur. The plaintive in this case has a simple argument. If those big hunky young players in tight pants can't keep a lil' ol' ball on the big ol' field then they shouldn't be allowed to play." It was later found that the injuries incurred by the lady were inflicted hours earlier when her husband punched her numerous times when she refused to bring a mitt to the game. "YERRRRRRR OUTTTTT!!!"
I am a true ass set to this board.

Her comments after the decision were ridiculous as well. She is what I refer to as a one way mother fucker. lol She was probably on her cell phone. I just shake my head when I see those people at the game. If I'm at a game I don't care if the damn sky is falling. Call me when it's over.
We must!

she should sue the bastard sitting in front of her for not having fast enough reflexes to catch it before she got nailed

I was drunk at Tiger Stadium once with a few buddies, was one of the spur of the moment things of "lets go see the Tigers play" we couldn't get tickets in the same row but staggered in 3 or 4 rows but all close together. A foul ball (we were behind the plate just to outside of the netting) came screamin out and right at us, we all ducked in time except for our buddy who was the furthest back....that ball hit directly on shoulder and shot off like it was from a bat again I could only imagine if that hit a head...ouch. He had stitching marks perfectly imprented on him along with a bruise for a few days after that. We all were laughing our asses off One of things that you have to be there to see how funny it was..
