OK JCFers, here's what's happening. My band, Under Eden, is participating in "Core Wars 2004", an online battle of the bands sponsored by Heavycore (www.heavycore.org), and this coming week is our first round. Soooo...I'd like to ask that you take a few minutes to go to http://www.lowtwelve.com/corewars2004.html and listen to our MP3s, along with those of all the other bands competing this week, and vote for your favorites. The top prize at the end of Core Wars is a free spot on the Heavycore annual compilation CD, which normally would cost $150. Being that this CD gets sent out to regional retailers and is reviewed by mags like Metal Maniacs, this is something we definitely want to get in on.
Under Eden is up against State of Decay in the opening round. The competition is not song-vs-song, so base your voting on however many songs you wish to listen to. Our MP3s can be found at www.under-eden.net under the "Songs" section. It's melodic thrash/death metal, but our songs run pretty much the entire range of metal styles. If you do take part in the voting, please abide by the rules posted at the Core Wars link above. Thanks to those who vote!
