Re: Shredding on Ed Sullivan
Yeah, he plays left-handed but with the strings "upside down"...

"The minute Dale picked up the guitar, Leo Fender broke into uncontrolled laughter and disbelief, he was watching Dale play a right handed guitar upside down and backwards, Dale was playing a right handed guitar left handed and changing the chords in his head then transposing the chords to his hands to create a sound never heard before."
Yes, I'm confused too... "Quiet, numbskulls, I'm broadcasting!" -Moe Howard, "Micro-Phonies" (1945)

Re: Shredding on Ed Sullivan
The rhythm player in the band I play lead for plays like Dale. He's a lefty but he uses a right handed guitar strung as if a righty was playing it. He just flips it over and frets notes and chords with his right hand. Plus, he's a damn good lead player even with the odd technique. Last show we played, he used my KE-2. Looked like he was playing a reverse head Kelly, upside down. I've got a few pics of him using it. I oughtta post 'em.
