• Someone has to know this....

Do any pick companies make picks like this? My dad's friend got it YEARS ago with a guitar he bought and it's the most comfortable pick I've ever used...The tip isn't a point, but it's waaay sharper than a Tortex or anything....anyone know any companies that make stuff similar to this?

Hmm.. I've got a black pick that looks like that... it says "POS-A-GRIP" "XH"... don't know where I got it from... guess I've found it somewhere... I only know that I've had it for years.

Ran a search for "POS-A-GRIP" on www.google.com and I found this link amongst several others: http://www.brooklyngear.com/catalog/...roducts_id=255

I'm sure there's plenty of info about them if you look around a bit. Hope that helps!

Forgot to mention this, that specific pick has an Ibanez logo on it and came with an Ibanez guitar....illumina, don't go out of your way to find 'em for me, but next time you stumble across them locally could you find out what gauges they come in and verify that the tip is a little more pointed than a regular Dunlop Tortex for example? Shoot me an e-mail next time you see 'em and maybe I'll take you up on your offer! I've got tons of picks so I'm in no hurry, so just let me know next time you stumble across 'em

I used to do that myself. I took purple Tortex picks, and drill holes in them. It makes them more grippy.

Just drilling a hole (or a few) like Tommy stated, will be great. Or you can use a razor blade and carve little Xs into the pick like Dimebag Darrell does.

Everly (one of the guys from the Everly Brothers, they also make strings) makes Star Grip picks which look pretty neat. http://www.musiciansfriend.com/srs7/...base_id/85825/

Thanks for the advice guys! The grip isn't as much of a big deal to me as the pick shape is....the shape of the tip is absolutely PERFECT but I only have one of these picks so I don't use it, in hopes of comparing it to other picks until I find something similar....Does anyone have a picture of a Tortex Jazz with the round tip? I've noticed there's a sharp one and a round one according to the webpage but only the sharp one is pictured...I'm thinking of ordering a ton of those, but if the round one looks like this Ibanez pick tip I'll definitely try those...BTW does anyone know for sure if the Tortex Jazz are the same size as a standard pick are tiny like the Jazz IIIs?

There's a better picture so you can see the difference between this pick and some more standard shaped ones...

Looks like Ibanez make all their picks in that shape....I wonder how I can go about acquiring those...

                            Those are Speed Holes
They make the pick go faster.
