• What do you tune to?

A couple of my guitars are in E, a couple are in Eb and one in D. On occasion, the low strings get dropped another full step (you know, to do those one-finger nu-metal power chords).
Just curious what the other board members here tune to.

Basically standard tuning in C. I despise drop tuning, not people who use it, but I hate playing a guitar drop tuned. I can't play just about any of my songs in drop tuning because the chord shapes are different. I know I COULD figure them out, but not on the fly. I stray often from simple power chords. Plus, after 12 years of playing Slayer and death metal songs my hand is pretty used to the root/fifth power chord shape.

Re: What do you tune to?

My Soloist is my main player and it's tuned to standard.

My KE3 is tuned to D.

My RG560 and Yamaha acoustic are both tuned to whatever I feel like tuning those particular guitars to on any given day.

My Takamine 12-string acoustic is tuned to D.

But, there's something about Eb tuning that's REALLY cool... don't know how to put it into words.

my 7string is tuned to a=440hz...i think B is deep enough, sometimes i think about getting another 7string and tuning it a half step down.....slayer on the upper 6 strings, and the 7th string for nevermore tunes but well, i cant play this shit anyway, so...

my other guitar is tuned to whatever i feel like....feeling like death or kreator, its D, and if i feel like playing some heavy slayer shit, i'm tuning it to eb...and sometimes to drop c# for that unholy VENOM stuff....*headbang* man, i love fixed bridges....

my acoustic is @ eb...ever played cannibal corpse unplugged? sounds cool ^^
