I think that is one very guitar with "MOJO". Think what that guitar has seen and done. Plus that cool story on how he put it together.

That guitar is an icon. That is in the same league as SRV's #1. I bet it will far exceed $100K. If I had the green you can bet I would make the scene.

I'm stunned in the fact that he's letting it go. I just hope that whoever buys it will loan it to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame or other museums. Blacie needs to be shown to the public. That guitar does not need to be locked away in a private collection collecting dust. Blackie being a very famous guitar, will probably fetch a decent price.

That is one of the most famous guitars ever, I am sure that it will go for more than $100,000.

I would think it is heading to Seattle. The EMP will be the new home. Paul Allen bought his Brownie. Not to many people have deeper pockets than him.

The proceeds, after Christies commission, purportedly go to Clapton's charity, hence his reasonaing to part w/such a gem.

Brownie sold for around $500k in the first auction a few years back.

I imagine this one is far more the Holy Grail than Brownie.

I wonder what the EVH 1, EVH 2 and 5150 would fetch.

I bet blackie gets closer to $1 mil.

Bets on a Japanese buyer? Paul Allen may have to reach way deep. You guys are right. This is one of the, if not "the", trophy guitars.

                              Clapton's Blackie brought $959,500.00.

                              SRV's Lenny sold for $623,500.00.
