When you are young and when someone you know dies before their time, it is particularly hard to deal with. This has happened to me a lot, and I empathize with you. You are doing the right thing, regardless of what happened one month ago. I admire you for your caring. If I am pontificating, so be it. Be there through this tragic time. Then, with all the strength you have, slowly back out of the scene when the time is right. I probably should mind my own business, but it is the "dad" in me.
