Hey Rich, what's up man...I hope yopu are doing well my friend..

I understand and appreciate your perspective..which isn't far from mine..not at all really..

Vin and I were just discussing Religion/God..we were just watching the History channel and they had some theolgians, historians and catholics discussing the make up of the bible..which is of course a collection of books..they put alot of research into this..much more than I..

Anothr reason why there is so much mystery or "holes" as I call them in the bible ..especially The New Testament is because so many books were purposely omitted ..so not much is known about Jesus..not in the "official" new Testament..just his birth up to his "sacrifice"..very little is known of his youth and personal life..but there is books that document that he was a pretty silly prankster..this is what I saw on this episode..

Ironically women didn't have a very high status or role in Cjhristianity in general..they were looked down upon by most clergy..until this day..

It was NO secret that Mary M was VERY close to Jesus..how close we really don't know...but she DID write her own book..that spoke of Jesus' words of the heart, mind and soul..and even of anti-matter..which is very profound stuff...but it was omitted by the bishop...so.

If there's a God..the God that we all know and read about..I don't know if I would call this mess his scheme..I put this blame on man..can you trust man..No....not then and not now...we pick and choose what works for us to best suite our needs..that is certainly Christianity and alot more beliefs I would assume....

Hell, most of us would have been burned at the stake just a couple hundred years ago for having this discussion..

So God"..or ahemm..man has eased up alot from it's original format..and it will continue to do so..God will evolve with the times and needs of man....and women

There will be gay marriages and women preists for example..it's inevitable..just a matter of time..maybe not our time..but it will happen..and so be it.

So, is this all God's law..or our own..

we will always adjust, twist, manipulate the words of God to change with the ever changing needs of man..

Bill, what do you guys miss with the rated version, as opposed to the un-rated version of Anchorman? I remember hiring out the all-out, more explicit version of Old School and wondering what the hell they might've chopped out of the 'other' version. Some footage of Will Ferrell's bare ass?

Hey G....Yeah...There is alot of deleted footage in this ...almost too much..it took me over 2 1/2 to watch the movie and all the edited stuff..

I have the thatre version...not that different than the un-rated version...When Will gets the axe for Telling San Diegos to "Go fuck yourself"..he says the word "fuck" alo when he getting escorted for the office..

Champ Kind..the sports guy says some different shit...such as "I woke up and pooped a squirrel and it's still alive and I don't know what to name it"..and then Brick respondes with.."Sorry, I ate your chocolate squirrel" ..

The Jack Black scene that was edited was much longer...not better just longer..that burrito / motorcycle accident was my favorite scene.."That's how I roll".. [img]/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img]

There is also a scene wher Ron was at Tino's (jazz flute) club and Tino made him eat poop for being a bad anchorman..just silly shit..

Lot's of extra stuff..."the legend of Ron Burgandy"!!

Most people are just selfish. I don't think most people are "Evil". I freely admit I am selfish. Dave Mustaine once said that if you are not the most important person in your life, then there's something wrong with you. That doesn't mean you don't have to care about others.

Religion is a perfect example. Religion exists as a way to make selfish people behave a certain way. The bible says not to sin, or you go to hell. It's simple self preservation. If someone has the slightest inkling that hell actually might exist, and is as bad as it's cracked up to be, then of course they don't want to go there. Of course, then the Catholics invented forgiveness. [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img] It's alright to do bad things, as long as you atone for them. Kinda defeats the purpose doesn't it. Then there's the born-agains. It's still bad to kill, steal, etc, but obviously bilking people out of money in Gods name doesn't fall under the evangelical definition of stealing. [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]

Personally, I'm generally very nice to people. I'm always polite to store clerks, leave good tips when deserved, hold doors open for people, drive as courteously as I can manage on any given day. If someone fucks me over though, I will do my best to return the favor. I don't need the bible to tell me not to steal, rape, kill, etc, because I know it's wrong. However, even if I didn't think it was wrong, I still wouldn't do it. Do you know why? Simple self preservation. If you kill someone, you will likely go to jail. It's maybe not as bad as hell, but I still don't want to go there.

Bill, I found a way how to make night club babes look METAL.

I like your thinking, zeegs. That's pretty much how I try to get around too.

Although, it's not only a fear of jail that stops me being a complete bastard. I also have an innate sense of empathy, which always prevented me from taking enjoyment out of old ladies tripping over at the shops. My peers would laugh and point, and I would think, that's probably her entire week's pension cheque laying in broken eggs and spilt milk across the footpath. Or that kid who's just walked out the store with his new purchase, having saved his pocket money all month for it, only to have it pinched by some passing puke who thinks the world owes them a living. That shit has never been funny to me. Besides, the dude who's being an ass to you, probably has a lovely old grannie at home who loves him dearly. I'd hate to break her heart by killing the fucker [img]/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img]

I have also always had a real sense of repercussion - I always imagine if I fuck with someone, even if the outcome is in my favour, they probably have family or friends that will come back to exact revenge. So things probably won't end with me taking out the dude who's getting in my face. And I don't want to live my life looking over my shoulder. It's small comfort to think that the dude who kills me will probably spend the rest of his life in jail.

Well, if you started trouble with someone and killed him, that'd probably be so. If you killed in self-defense a serial killer who had you pegged as #27 on his hit list, I think his family would understand, unless they were all serial killers. In which case they'd probably kill you anyway, just cause you broke their kinsman's streak.

Nobody cares really...we bitch and moan...but nobody cares..and we get tired of hearing about it..but we all need to blow steam sometimes..hell I do that here sometimes...hell I'm doing it now!

I just do my neccessary errands and maybe take in a favorite band once in a while..that's it..

My wife and kid go out to amusements parks and shit..and I stay home..I can't endure that much standing and walking anymore..I miss doing that stuff with them..
