Yeah, but silly/hypocritical/contradictory things abound among ALL people, not just Christians. Funny thing is, if athiests don't believe in Christianity anyway, why does it surprise or anger them when Christians, like everyone else, are imperfect? We know we're not perfect.

It's cool though, I was in a crabby mood and it hit me wrong, that's really my problem, not yours. Just like to say sometime that we're not all uncool people, really mostly the opposite. It's a minority that hassle people that make us all look obnoxious. And they don't think the rest of us are "real" Christians! [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]

And Christmas is really a secular holiday now anyway, no problem with that. It would've been cool to wait til Grandpa finished grace to start carving, but if you were stoned I totally get that you wouldn't think of it. I usually forget and have a couple bites before I remember to say grace myself!

Em, did you got a record deal? How's your record done? Did you made it all by yourself?

I hope you get a lot of attention and some major label picks you up. The kind of music you do is very seriously taken by the $$$ guys. If you get lucky then there is a chance they send you to make an album in Nashville where are the most awsome producers, world's best studios, superb session players etc. etc. All the greatest country-pop, country-rock, acoustic rock etc. albums are made there.

Wow, thanks Endrik! I'm happy to hear you think so!
I would love to be picked up by a major label, definitely.
That idea is so far-fetched to me though, I can't imagine that. This is just me dinking around really.

I recorded the album (which is a 5-song EP) in my Pro-Tools homestudio. So, yeah, I did all that nightmarish stuff myself. I don't know a thing about mastering, however, and even though it sounds excellent for a demo I wanted it to be polished. A studio in Tampa, FL is doing the mastering for me (Blackdog Mastering Studio) and my session is next week. I'm totally stoked about that, these guys are good.
I'm going with a professional package as well, and an art team at Disc Makers will handle that for me.
I don't know what will happen with all of this, or if I will ever put out another album (though I'd like to), so I want this to be as professional as possible.

As far as being picked up by a label... I dunno. I couldn't reproduce this live as people will hear it on the album because I don't have a band! [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]
But, ya never know. When we finally get settled I may want to put together some musically inclined folks.
I can definitely play it all acoustic though. And yes, I would love to one day get to Nashville. Who knows?
I'm not thinking about all that right now, I just wanted to get this done and get it out there regardless of if anyone likes it or not. [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]

Christmas..I always had a Christmas..it was my favorite day of the year when I was a kid of course..I want my kid to experience that..and he sure does..no prayers, church...we go the "commercial" route..with toys lots of toys...this year was a Jackson..laste year a Line 6 Spyder..and the years before that was his Sonor drums...so those are toys we both enjoy together...then he has all his PS2 shit...that's his thing...he has so many games..I have no clue how many..I think around 50....I spoil him..but he's a great kid...awesome in school, music and sports until he broke his arm..he deserves all I can give him..and I try!

My wife and I don't share "holidays"..none of them...we just buy things we want...mostly for the house..so that's both of ours..

Well, Today is Friday...but my wife has to work Tomorrow for the first time..her work buddy is on vacation..So it's me and Vin for Friday Fun Night..that kinda sucks but we'll make the most of it..
