jeez, I totally pull off a commando mission south and everybody doesn't want
"ice cream" bars anymore. I tell ya, no matter what I try, it doesn't work, so I am not going to work anymore. And when I get tossed in the street I will be forced to knock off the nearest wells fargo. And I'm not sharing the money with anyone.

I'm glad that you think so Bill, because I'm amazed that no one never mentions him here.
You know, my first favourite band was Genesis, I was 4 or 5 years old then. Hackett was the shit in my book.
He is a world class classical player, amazing composer and arranger, and he is one of the most unique sounding musicians ever.
Steve did tapping and sweeping in '73, pretty cool uh.
Yngwie worshipps him.
btw. It is possible that Genesis will come back together, and I mean real Genesis, Phil Collins said that the only way he would do it is when Peter Gabriel will be sing. So the line-up would be the classic one, Peter Gabriel, Steve Hackett, Mike Rutherford, Tony Banks and Phil Collins. I've heard they want to do all their crazy prog stuff, like "Lamb Lies Down On A Broadway" and whatnot.
And it's kinda funny that people know Phil only as a singer, he is really an actor and one of the best jazz drummers in the world (he is one of the very few who has had the privilege to play in Buddy Rich Orchestra)

since I mentioned Peter Gabriel, I gotta bring up his amazing bass player, Tony Levin who is the most unique sounding bassist in my opinion. Bill, I know that he is your big influence, but have you seen him jamming with Eddie Van Halen?
