Well, the kid here scored Endy a job and a killer place to live across the street from the sand if he wants it. he'd be crazy not to take it, but it's his decision not mine. I have some cool friends out here, and some bad friends out here-lol Endrik has been put through a cement mixer so far. He's seen a lot of so far, we had 3rd row center last night for Ratt and then at my insistance , I ushered us out of there about 3 songs into Poison, I said out!!!out!!!! we are out!!!!!! i was smoking a fatty with a girl who was rubbin' against me and my friend Carter with her sister, and I did the right thing and got the fukk out of there, now if i were single, I wouldn't even be home yet to type this from last night. my girl is just too cool to mess around on, I couldn't do it. I dig her too much, it's hard when you're floating over the clubhouse and have to make the right decision too all at the same time-lol I think Endy could be here for good. Estonia say later to endbat, later much that is!!!Not helping the situation since 1965!

Wow dude just saw your list... Outstanding! Most of this stuff I'd never heard of of course. So just to prove I'm not completely metal ignorant, I'll do my own list of the bands I love :P
Hammerfall
Blind Guardian
Helloween
Spiritual Beggers (That band is just fucking brilliant... great solos, catchy as hell riffs and choruses...great great stuff)
Lacuna Coil
Metal Church
Megadeth
Rammstein
Queensryche
Queens of the Stone Age
Pantera (as long as it's not friggin' Walk again...)
Moonspell
Sentenced
Iced Earth
Nevermore
Nightwish
Machine head (latest album is absolutely amazing...)
Iron Maiden
InFlames (not only clean vocals but I think they're just brilliant)
The Haunted (Revolver is a damn fun album to liste to)
Slayer (... I only have Reign in Blood though. I have to really be in the mood for that!)
Anthrax (I just have a best of. To me they always sounded way more Punk than any of the other thrash bands which is great since I'm way more into Punk than metal)
Guano Apes (not sure if they'd qualify as metal for you? But Walking on a Thin Line is GREAT)
God Forbid (Gone Forever is a good album, fo sho)
Faith No More
Deftones
Death by Stereo (More Punk, but again, that's what I like)
Refused (one of my top 5 albums that changed my life: The Shape of Punk to Come)
Bullet for my Valentine (Surpringly catchy and heavy. Good stuff)
Black Label Society: Blessed Hellride. (whatever else I heard from them was pretty damn bad, especially mafia and concrete jungle. Just horrible to me)
Alice in Chains (Dirt is just one of these albums that REALLY made me go 'holy fuck...')
Shadows Fall (I only have one album though, War Within)
Sinergy (Suicide by my Side, I'm still wanting the earlier stuff)
Symphony X (I only have V)
System of a Down
Therion (Great symphonic metal that one)
Tiamat (Very simple and forward, but very effective)
Tool
I left out the screaming bands like Children of Bodom, Arch Enemy, Dark Tranquility, At The Gates...
So you're like a machine we can input band names, shake it, and it'll come out new ones to check out?
I've been youtubing some of the stuff from your list already. Not much is on there though and I don't download so it won't be easy finding some of this stuff.
Thanks a lot for your metalness Bill! Oh and I think Adagio are French aren't they..?Last edited by pott; 08-14-2007, 05:41 AM.

Even the most rabid metalheads have a few surprises in their collection, and I'm sure that you're no exception...

I am a sucker for 50's and early 60's music..I know about much about those artsist than I do Metal..
You see I ALAWYS loved music..ever since I was born. I was born when the Beatles hit America in April 1964..It was the British Invasion..but I say fuck that..it was the Bill Z Bub invasion..because they are dead..and I am still here..so I won!
..and Pott don't be afraid..everything in this thread is of value..no matter how scary it may seem. I fight the monsters so you don't have to..then tell my tales about it man..that's the beauty of it!!!!"Bill, Smoke a Bowl and Crank Van Halen I, Life is better when I do that"

hehe... I'm huge into Blues myself, Punk, Ska, rock&roll...I got through high school only with Punk and Ska basically! Metal is pretty recent. Great world though!
Deftones aren't really nu metal.. but then I don't know anything that'd be nu metal or not. It's melodic, but heavy... very special. They have a sound of their own. Guano Apes are German, female fronted. Really good stuff. Check out that album!
Death by Stereo are a mix between hardcore Punk and metal... Check out their tunes called You Mess With One Bean, You Mess With the Whole Burrito, or Holding 60 Dollars on a Burning Bridge... or anything but the latest album which has more of an emo vibe, weirdly enough. Amazing band.
Refused are pretty darn metal man... you ever listened to Coup D'Etat, Rather be Dead or New Noise?

Wassup Poot my friend fron the Netherlands..I would love to go there.
No I haven't herad much of that stuff..I may have without actually knowing it. There were alot of obscure independent cd/record shops that loved punk and some pretty weird underground stuff..while I shopped their for hours..
The "weirdest "female" fronted band is prolly the Genitortures..I like their early stuff.. Oh, and the Plasmatics of course..I thought they were cool..that's taking me back.
Being a guitaris/bass player I am always striving to push the envelope on my own albilties and I dentify with bands that do the same. That is why I always hated bands like Korn, Limp Bizkit, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Godsmack, Licoln Park and yada ..grunge, Nu.....they wrote pop songs that people liked. But I'm not one of those people. I don't like simplistic three chord songs you can play with ONE finger with no solos..it doesn't do anything for me and I can't take it seriously and don't.
Then there is bands that I think are too technical for there own good such as Dream Theatre..or Symphony X..great bands..great musicians..but musically it is not cohesive and gets boring even for those who like musicianship..there has to be a balance..I have ALL DT and SX material..I support what they do because of who they are..but get bored fast when I listen too it. They have some GREAT moments that really groove and then poof it's gone to a bunch of wankery..it's like every memember in those band is saying "look at me mom"..in every song..those bands hail the gods of Rush.
My dad LOVES blues..real "Blues"..it's cool, and there would not be rock or metal without it but it's much too slow for me..
I like the angst of some early Punk bands..and alot of that bleed into metal bands such as Venom and Motorhead..which was the start of speed metal..so Punk was truly necessary!!"Bill, Smoke a Bowl and Crank Van Halen I, Life is better when I do that"
Donnie Swanstrom 01/25/06..miss ya!

Hehe I've always been on the Clash side of the Punk thing... I prefer something well catchy and fun to listen to than something almost too raw... I do enjoy the Pistols though. Mostly though it's No Fun At All, Pennywise, Rancid, NoFx, US Bombs, Lagwagon...that kind.
I'm French dude I only live here, in my defence Nothing against the Dutch though...Good weed here! Though no one to smoke it with
