I'm curious about Satanism. I was raised Catholic but have rejected/discounted/ridiculed almost everything I was taught. Just curious why you often cite the Bible given that:

a) it was a very selected compilation, by men (of course), from a huge catalog of ancient writings.

b) one of it's main themes is God as the ultimate power and Lucifer as a defeated character.

I have no interest in organized religion, Christian or anti-Christian, but just curious as to why you cite the Bible a lot. If you've already answered this quesiton in this thread, my apologies, I'm a newb to this thread and 69 pages (hey, that's a good number!) is a lot to wade through... I love to cite the Bible..

What better book to get all the information of Satan...I go right to the source. Unlike most Satanist including the likes of ASL and Crowley.

I have done a lot of intense soul searching for the most part. I was too raised (Italian) Roman Catholic and all my family and loved ones still are. I attended Catholic School all my life ....I'm 40 so this was still back in the old school when you were beat brutally by nuns on a daily basis..

I lived in the parish itself ...right between the convent (nuns home) and the Sacrasty (preist home) and I would see a preist sneak over there in the middle of the night. Once there was a new born baby found in the church that belonged to one of these nuns...soon afterwards the preist and that nun left the church.

I think this planted the seed at a very early age..

A totaly lost my faith to the point of my repulsion of God when I became a cop.

I figure you should educate yourself , ask questions , and get to know both sides to the story before making your conclusion. Just like being a cop....get all the facts as possible before you can make a decision..

so I guess it is not really soul searching but more of an investigation.

I then took off the Christian Goggles and read the bible in a whole new light . All those things that never made sense to me as a Christian ...now is so blatant.

If you are interested in Satanism ...I HIGHLY recommend you pick up the real old testament and read it ..BUT not as a Christian....just as a non biased reader.

For me Satan is absolutely "symbolic"..I am my own God. Satan just represents my stance with God and I definetley can sympathize his role in this whole mess....per the book.

In that book and the new Testament too...the only real hero is Satan..

he sacrificed everything and stood up and challenged God when God **** up...which he does alot...per the book.....and per the six o clock news....he never bowed down to him...

well the book ...IS the faith...it is ALL based on that book....so I use it ....but to Satan's advantage.

Food for thought..God insisted in giving man "free Agency" but insisted that knowing right from wrong IS forbidden knowledge.

Lucifer wanted to teach man right from wrong so that God would not lose a single soul..

Lucifer then turned Satan wants nothing more than to prove God wrong and to expose the kind of God he really is to man...to turn man against him...just as he turned against man...and I support this logic.

and Faith without logic is nothing more than a pipe dream.

If I'm going to dedicate my precious time and dedication to any God , if any , ....it better make some kind of sense.

Even though I do agree with a lot of Satanic philosphies and life styles...I do not believe in any dogmatic BS...no powers...no magick....just the best power imaginable on this planet....wisdom and logic.

It is clearly certain since "god" knows everything and does not create anything in happenstance...

he created Lucifer as his scapegoat...no more ...no less.

He gave him all of his knowledge to Lucifer....So Satan has the exact same wisdom as God...."The light" But without any powers to act on that knowledge...man that's gotta suck!!!

Satan gave me this "light"...and once you bask in that light in all its glory...it is freedom like nothing I ever experienced....it is true freedom in raw form!

I never been a more stronger , wiser , loving person in my life...because of this influence....and all without manufactured "Guilt"

Satan made me a better me....and NOT for any God ...not for any man...just for me!

Satan will gladly guide anyone to be as accountable , responsible and credible as could be without the luxuries of salvation and the burdens of redemption to rely on...

and I would be willing to guide anyone that is worthy.

What really screw up my die hard christian friends is how could someone be so nice , caring , honest , truly honest without the grace of God..and praises this so-called "evil" deity....this really puzzles them!

I don't know why...I think it is simple...Human are either good humans or just part of the worthless human pollution that is just generations of mindless , hapless glorified chimps..

I only respect good humans...and then I loathe all the rest....like I said the rest is just stagnant pollution.

and since I loathe the bad humans...I guess I am being a bit God-like as well..he loathes them too...per the book....well per the book he loves all men ...but then he drowned all of us...so take yer pick.

I don't know about you guys but I HATE all these copycat gay ass new horror movies ...they are all the same...they all have that cheezy Marylin Manson video BS going on all the time...that fast / shaky BS....it IS so cliche and cheezy now ...it sickens me..

I hate it...all these movies suck ass...The grudge , Saw , Boogeyman , The Ring...they are all the same fucking crap...it looks like watching a freaking PS 2 game...you know those story lines right before the game...these movies all look like a fucking video game....

I'm not afarid of video games..or stupid camera trickery...what the hell is so scary about that crap..

when it comes to horror...I'm totally old school.

There is a few newer horror movies that are "decent"...Final Destination...(not really horror) ..sleepy Hollow..Jeepers Creepers..(even though that kinda sucked too)...

I'm just ranting because they are coming out with a new horror movie every month and all the previews look exactly the same...it is the same old crap!

what I like to ask Christians is ...what did Jesus do...

they always say.."he died for our sins"...

then I ask them...OK , then tell me since he "died for our sins"...what has changed before and after his death...their programmed minds has never an answer because it was never told to them nor was it documented in the book..all via this "programming".

I believe that Christ was a scapegoat just as well as Satan , a submissive pawn of God...but Satan knew what God knew and refused his play his game , damn well knowing the outcome..Satan and Christ were both made by the same and are spiritual brothers.

But the god given "light" that Lucifer already posessed convinced him to stand his ground and NOT be submissive to an imperfect God..unlike the Christ....who I view as a likeable brainwashed , masochist devoted to his god the father without condition..I thought Jesus' life and death was sad and pathetic..Lucifer feels the same actually....he tried to save Christ several times...per the book.

I will not be submissive to a sadistic , imperfect God as well...which makes me a true Anti-Christ / God and a brother to Lucifer who understands and shares these conditions.

So the cross to me is NOT a symbol of salvation but a sign of ultimate weakness and failure.

So unlike most ...when I say that God is "bad" I follow it up with deep , hard logic..and the "light"...

If you know what Satan knows ...then you know what God knows...and unlike God ...Satan will share this forbidden knowledge that God doesn't want you to know...starting with Adam and Eve..and every human since.

The forbidden knowledge will show you right from wrong so you can make the right decisions for yourself without the help or need of a "God"....or his grace.

instead of taking the Mr. Mackey approach (South Park)..."ahhhh the Devil is bad...he is very bad M'kay"..

that is the kind of debates I get ...that and or Bible quotes...and people that know me ..know that I forgot more about bible quotes than they could ever know...

I want to start my own religion...Anton wrote a book on the advice of a friend for money..it is nearly a mockery of Satan.

I'm all about truth and logic...unlike the Church and The Church of Satan...they are both equally about money..they are both full of crap!

The most ironic thing is ...I want my main source of reference to be the Bible...the whole bible and nothing but the bible...but it will be MY interpretation of it..which has NEVER been done before to my knowledge.

I want to take the bible and turn it upside down and inside out so know human will ever look at it the same again..just as I have.

I want to make it so clear that no man including clergy could ever deny this logic..
