these are a few pics of illdisposed (danish death metal band, highly recommended, and friends of mine/my band) tracking their new record. check out the guitar setup. ibanez (maxon? can't see for sure) tubescreamer -> krank krankenstein and bogner überschall
i've asked their guitar player about it. the album is gonna be mainly the krank, with some uber mixed in for textures. according to his opinion, it's a GREAT amp (and i trust him on that one, he wouldn't tell me if it was just for endorsement reasons), very similar to a rectifier but of course slightly different, more upper mids especially.

i didn't want to start a new thread because of this, but i just HAD to post this....so much for all the krank = "krap" internet bashing. i'll stay tuned for their upcoming release. btw, their new 2nd guitar player used to play with exmortem which is obviously a really cool band, at least imho it is [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]

I've been told I look like Kojack, Dave Attel (Insomniac), Bill Goldberg, Kerry King , Scot Ian, Ron Halfor, Uncle Fester...I kina see the Kerry/Ian thin..my wife thinks we "resemble"..must be the long beard.

But Joey Vera wife went nuts when she met me...and Joey Vera and I had to bust out our drivers licese and put them together..it looked like the same dude..that when we had a Mohawk..but we have the same dark features and frame too..same age.

Joey Vera..the bassist to Armored Saint, Fates Warning, Seven Witches...now there is some new dude in seven Witches that my fam think looks like me..even more than Joey..I don't know who he is yet..he's in the new Bw/BK magazine..I haven't read it yet..

I wouldn't want hair...Bald is awesome..I try to shave my nog at least every other day..and it's just so not a pain in the ass...having hair is a pain in the ass...hair is what ALWAYS takes the longest to do when your getting ready...that's gone..I can shower and be out the door in 15 minutes...and that's taking my time [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]

I wear it well..I have a nice smooth, kissable noggn'.. [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]

I have an egghead with thinning red-blond hair. That is one reason I wear hats. The others are: 1, It keeps the sun out my eye. 2, It keeps my head warm and 3, If you have the right logo on your hat you can talk to most anyone. For example. I wore a "Top Gun" cap and got into a long talk with a dude that really was a combat pilot from Korea to 'Nam. I wore a "NRA" hat and yelled at two dudes that weren't doing what they were supposed to do. One guy saw my hat and "That was that". I wear a "Fitzgerald's" casino hat because it is the most comphy hat I own. But people will see and comment on how cool the casino is. It's way better than tee-shirts 'cus it's more subtle. The bottom line is I wear may caps or hats because it keeps the fukking sun out my eyes. [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

I like Disturbed & Lacuna Coil. And I'd check out BLS too, for a look. Disturbed are about to tour over here and I'd love to go see 'em, but not when they are dual openers (along with Hatebreed) for Kron. Not paying big venue prices to see one band that I like play for 30 minutes. Bugger that!

ps. another baldy here. Been shaving my head for years, since my mid-20s. A decision I made back in high school, between looking at my Dad's comb-over & my own thinning hair. My greatest fear was that when I finally built up the courage to take a razor to my scone, that I'd have a funny shaped head. Fortunately (or so I've been told by the ladies ) I have an attractively shaped head. Shame that the same can't be said about my mug. [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]

I think anyone thinning or losing there hair should just keep it clean..I think they always look better..

OH yeah...HATS..Bandana..A MUST for baldies..I drive a convertible..man you can cook an egg on my head..and it gets burnt...then it starts t peel..and then I gotta put baby oil on it so it doesn't look terrible when it peels..

You Eggheads know what I'm saying..you go to an amusement park or do some yardwork for a day without a hat...you're in trouble!!

they say darker colours are more slimming, so probably not. But a tan will always make a soft body look firmer, so a tanned dick might look harder. [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]
