            Tell me yiour favorite genre/style of metal and I will give you at least my top 10 MUST HAVES...10 would be some of them...but they will be a great 10!

            I'm in that kind of mood tonight..I'll try and stay with some fresh and new releases. [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

            word of warning ..there is some releases that you should not waste your precious money on such as this last Fates Warning cd "FX" I'm listening to right now..I could have easily put this money to much better use! [img]/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img]

              not really my absolute FAVORITE style, but very interesting nevertheless....
              SHRED. 80s. 90s. stuff that's very difficult but still melodic is prefered.....need to steal a few new licks in case i get bored with the old jeff loomis and yngwie things [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img] [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img] [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img] (unlikely to happen of course...)

                    I thought of this with melody/awesomeness and virtoucity in mind!

                    Here's my picks..

                    ABSTRAKT ALGEBRA..with Mike wead on geetar and Mats Levins on vox..AMAZING writing and playing on this..one of my very faves...still in print!
                    ANNIHIALTOR - King of the kill..This is Jeff Waters "Fuck You" to his band and showed he could do this all his own..and he did..this record rules throughout..tight rythms and firey solos over double kicks ...!!
                    APOCRYPHA..The forgotten scroll..this used to go for 200 bucks on Ebay..but now re-iissued..I burned this for Glen Drover of Megadeth/Eidolon..good enough for him..good enough for us...for any fans of Cacophony!
                    HELSTAR..A distant thunder and Nosferatu are mandatory...Andre Corbin is a fucker..and their only two he's on!
                    ARCH RIVAL- featuring Mchael Harris ..one of David T Chastains partners in crime ..shredding melodic metal..they have three out all worthy owning.
                    BLUE MURDER..well you had to live under a rock not to know this is the genius os a John Sykes in prime form!..they put out two..both worth having!
                    ANACRUSIS- an obscure band from england that earned so much respect from me..very different and just awesome IMO!
                    CRIMSON GLORY..Oh man these are classics..the first two are essential..s/t and transendance..
                    FATES WARNING- No Exit ..is a landmark..their best IMO!!
                    FIFTH REASON- time will tell and s/t..James Byrd's first band..classic!
                    FORBIDDEN...Forbidden evil/twisted into form...this was the missing link between Sanctuary and Nevermore..!!
                    HEATHEN...a must have they put out two..Victim of deception ..is one of them...wow!
                    LETHAL this is a must for any classic queensryche fan they evolved into a more AIC vibe..but did it VETY well...
                    MOMENTO MORI..Mike Wead again..this time he doesn't have messiah Marcolin in that camp..and it smokes!
                    HEXENHOUSE...anything yoiu can finf from them is OOP and fucking awesome ..yep..Mike Wead again!
                    RAGE-..tghis old german band did whatever old metalillca did and better...early stuff and new is GREAT..they have a huge catalog..but classic as "trapped" and "the missing link" is kick ass..
                    SAVATAGE - anytging w/Criss Oliva erspecially Hall of the mountain King , Gutter ballet , Streets and Edge of Thorns..their earlier stus is much more raw..but classic...that band died when he did...essential!
                    WATCHTOWER- "control and Resistance ..you can'
                    t listen to this and not like it!

                    These are three modern metal bands that been around for a while..some of the best of the best ..if you like Iced Earth...then these are a must..
                    BRAINSTORM..I think they kick the shit outta Iced Earth on their best day..and I love IE.
                    MORGANA LEFAY...if you love classic "Tage..this is for you..
                    NOCTURNAL RITES ..their new "Grand Illusion" is a must hear and one of the best power/melodic metal release this year!!

                      OK E..went and checked out my goods..don't have too much Funk/Metal..

                      but these I do have because well..they are just damn good!!

                      MINDFUNK..got them on right now..I still like this shit...and the dude does shred!

                      MORDRED..they put out a few..doesn't get much listen here...but another funk/metal classic band that never gets a mention.

                      INFECTIOUS GROOVES...another band that remenided me of a bit Failth no More and Red Hot chili Peppers..

                      LIVING COLOUR...shit how can't I mention thses guys..especially their debut!

                      LAST CRACK..MY Favorite of the bunch..Burning Times and Sinister Funkhouse #17 are MUST HAVES..

                      FAITH NO MORE..that's a give-in..so is the RHCP..no need to mention them...oops I just did..

                      2-47 SPYZ..another obvious funk/metal band..I had a couple of theirs when they came out..I have trade those in since..don't have them anymore..bnut they were good at what they were.

                      PRIMUS...hmmmmm.who's that..sailing the seas of cheese is a Must have IMO!!

                      I MOTHER EARTH..Dig and Scenery and Fish are must haves..great grooves and bass playing...I still dig this stuff.

                      Mr. BUNGLE..I wasn't really into these gys but alot of my music buds were..so I mentioned them..

                      I like my funk/metal..more metal than funk..like Wratchild America and Suicidal Tendencies for example..

                      OH...I like a band with a black chick fronting the band called SKUNK ANANSIE--their first..Saving Jesus..or whatever that song is called rules!!

                      Then you got GAY shit like Rage Against The Machine..but that's not "metal" in my opinion..that's pure shit to me..but most people would prolly differ...but what I think only matters...to me! [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]

                            Very different but great.
